My almost five year old DS daughter and three year old son get along well, but I have problems with her love of hugging him. He doesn't always appreciate it and I'm not sure how to teach her that sometimes people don't want hugs. I don't want him to push her away and yell either, which is what he usually does. Any suggestions?

That is a great question! I have a 5 year old little girl with DS. She has this same problem. Sometimes she can be a little aggressive with her hugging. I have little cousins that don't like it very much. We just try to remind Jennifer to be gentle. She's doing much better. What I've found with my brother's little girl is that she let's my daughter know when she's had enough. Jennifer's feelings get hurt some times, but then I just talk her through it. Kids learn a lot from each other.
