hi im a a few months along i have quit n want to knnow if my child will be affected by my meth use it wasnt everyday use n i have since quit im only 3 months along how affected will my baby be n will it be a life long journy to get my baby to be normal ?? any imput that is refuring to this as in ppl who have been in this sitchuation tell me what u have to deal with im worryed about the well being of my child i want t o keep it but if it is going to be in n out of docors offices i kinda dont want to keep it i dont want to bring a child into the world just for them to see offices after offices after offices n not enjoy life for what it is

Well i too used meth like 2 or 3 times but i had no idea i was pregnant. I STOPPED of coarse and seeked medical attention and talked to my doctor. He changed my life and i started to take good care when i found out he was growing inside me. I had my son 3wk early he was born with Downsyndrome! I have never regretted anything till that day i felt like it was my fault..how could i not know i was pregnant..why me? Why him? Long story short i think if u stopped as soon as u found out and talked to your doc. u can do everything to try and repair any damage. You dont want to go through life knowing your dumb actions caused your kid to depend on dope to live!!! By the way Downsyndrome is Genetic and meth had nothing to do with it but like i expressed.. how i felt when i found out he had downsyndrome it broke my heart!
