24 hour eeg question

My 19 month old daughter has been having what we have called dizzy spells about one every week or two for the last 5+months. Neurologist thinks maybe benign paroxsysmal vertigo of childhood but because she doesn't fit the diagnosis perfectly has ordered a 24 hour video eeg for next week to rule out seizures. Anyone know what the likely hood is of it being seizures if her 24 hr eeg comes out clean? Anyone see a seizure in a toddler that looks like vertigo? (Kind of like she has been spinning or maybe got into the liquor cabinet)

I have been doing lots of research of course and from what I read I understand why the neurologist is trying to rule this out. There are seizures which cause dizziness and of course in a 19month old you really can only guess that that is what she is feeling by her actions. I guess my biggest question is if anyone else saw this type of behavior in a toddler experiencing siezures? Also if anyone knows if I should consider us in the clear if her 24 hour eeg comes out clean?

Hi, have you looked up different seizure types? From what I can remember from reading, dizzy spells can be a type of seizure. Go to epilepsy.com and read about the different seizure types. Hope you find out something soon.
