Joey was diagnosed with Epilepsy/Seizure Disorder in July 1999 at the tender age of 9 months. Just as he was starting to cruise through the house ... holding onto anything he could to get where he wanted to go. Next thing, he was in the hospital fighting for his life. During his 6th brain surgery, where the remaining left side of brain was removed on August 18, 2005, he had a stroke in the right frontal lobe. Joey only has 40% of his brain remaining, yet he is attending school (3rd grade) everyday.
