When Aidan was 2 1/2 years old he his first Febrile Seizure, we hope that is was a one time occurrence, but unfortunately that wasn't the case, about a week later he had another. He started off having Grand Mal Seizure only while sleeping, they were very rare and we were able to keep him controlled off medication. We considered ourselves lucky.
When he was 3 1/2 he had his first grouping of daytime Seizures, we started him on medication immediately. He developed two other types of Seizure within weeks of his first daytime seizures. Before we knew it he was having four different types of Seizures all day long. They became debilitating to him and he lost his speech and what little motor function he did have. We counted about 30+ seizures per day and that didn't count the "frozen seizures" that we didn't catch. His Neurologist said with the increased activity he was having in his brain he could have been having numerous unseen seizures. We had tried numerous medications with no success. I started to research different options for controlling Aidan's Seizures. I found a couple of Alternative Treatments that when they were applied together they made drastic differences in Aidan's seizure activities. Within weeks his seizure activity had drastically changed! All of the Day time Seizure stopped and we haven't seen them since!! Now a few years later he is very well controlled! He has about a handful of Grand Mal seizures a year and they are only when he is sleeping. Have you guys ever looked at Alternative Treatments in your Community?
