I am so frustrated. My 8 year old has general non-convulsive epilepsy and has myoclonic seizures. He has had a 23 hour sleep deprived MRI and they confirmed that my son has seizures. His EEG shows. He has had them since he was approximately 1 year old or sooner. I always remember his shaking like he has a cold chill. The neurologst at Children's Hospital has put him on Keppra. After a week of being on it, I witnessed him having a 2 1/2 hour seizure. They are not convulsive so people don't realize they are seizures. My ex has decided that he wants his son to continue in football even though he is still having seizures. I watched him have a cluster of 10-12 or maybe even more tonight at football practice. I have seen him get tackeled and smack his head on the ground. He is on Keppra and it is still not controlling the seizures. How do you convince your ex that football is not a good idea. I pray to God that He keeps my son safe and that He speaks to my ex's heart and talks some sense in him or the Neurologist takes over!!! ughhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
