Hi everyone my name is Amy i have three little boys Ryan 5 Thomas 3 and Bailey 8 months. My son Bailey was born 11 weeks early and since about 3 months of age has been having these seizures where his legs shake. He is also a very grizzly baby any ideas on what type of seizures these could be?

Thanks guys for all your help. Well Bailey had another seizure the other day except this one he had his eyes darting side to side and rolling them and his whole body was shaking . It lasted 4 minutes that i am aware of i went in to check on him and he was already having it. So obviously my peadiatricain has said if he has one for over 2 minutes to call an ambulance which is what i did. By th time they actually got here an hour after he had his seizure!!! He had snapped out of the flat stage that he was in for 15 minutes after so we went up to the hospital where i waited to see the peadiatricain who said i could go home so i was wondering why i have to go up if it lasts more then 2 minutes if they send me home??? It's really confusing anyway i will talk to my private peadiatrician when i see him in feb to see what he thinks. Once again thanks for all the support really apprexciate it. Oh and by the way the hospital said they were tonic clonic seizures Yay i have a name for them!!!

Has he seen a nero yet? Had a catscan? MRI? My daughter who is 3 has Cortical Dysplasia in the left frontal Lobe. We discovered it about a year ago. She got the stomach flu and about a week later started acting very strange. Almost zombie like for about 2 days. Then she started starring off. Then she started starring off and falling down. After a bit of that she started having seizures that would cause her head to pull slightly to the left and made her left arm shake. She had a MRI done and found that her left frontal lobe is not formed correctly and it causes her to have seizures from time to time. Luckily there is not anything else wrong with her. She doesn't have any learning dissibilities. The doctors put her on two different meds and now things are back to normal. I hope this helps. I remember how helpless I felt when I discovered something was wrong with my baby.

not sure on the type of seizure it would be. My daughter has tonic clonic seizures, where he whole body shakes. Over the years her seizures have changed by what happens to her body during a seizure (looks of the seizure), but they are still the tonic clonic seizure. I would say that with the shaking it might be tonic clonic. The only way to know for sure what type he has is to get a diagnosis.
