I have a 5 year old daughter who will be six in December and was wandering if at this age anyone has noticed a growth spurt in their child?? She seems to require a little more sleep and seems to be eating a lot more. It is the summer where we live and we are busier and she is more active. Just curious any advice or information would be great!!

my oldest daughter will be 6 in november and she has been growing alot, noticable height gains in less than a month!! she has been eating alot more and sleeping longer in the mornings. She sounds just like your daughter! I am going with extra growing and lots of summer activity equals a need for more food and sleep!

Both of my children (age 9 and 5) are eating and sleeping more this summer...mostly because I've had the opportunity to be home with them and they are outside and playing from the time they get up til they go to bed....If they are expending the energy they have to find a way to replace it....also they have both grown quite well this summer so far....back to school shopping will be busy!
