My 10 month old baby girl has loved baby food from the start..but here recently she will only take a few bites or licks and wont want anymore. She still drinks formula, but im afraid shes not getting the proper nutrition. She has one tooth that has barely cut through, so im worried that if i give her "adult" food, that she will choke on the pieces. I share some of my food with her throughout the day, so I know she enjoys that way more than her baby food. ahh! what do I do? Any food suggestions?

My 15month old did this to me too, and I tried the little gerber cubed apples or carrots, she LOVES these, and any canned veggies just make sure the food soft enough to squish :)

My daughter stopped eating baby food at 9 months old. I just gave her the same food that I put on my plate. If we were having some type of meat for dinner I just cut it up into little pieces and gave it to her. Fruits and veggies are awesome snack foods for little ones too.

boil up some different veges and veges and pasta then blend or mash them up and give her that. try to give her lots of different types of food while she is young so she won't be a fussy eater in the years to come

My baby is the samem way what I have done is started buying the little graduates pasta pick em ups. I cut them in half & she picks them up herself & eats them all. Its all sorts of different flavors & foods. She seems to really like them...Now she wont touch baby food. She barely likes me to feed her. Last night I even gave her small pieces of chicken nuggets & fries...She loves it all.

She sounds really ready for proper family foods. Start with 2-3 steamed veggies put together eg. pumpkin, broccoli, cauliflower, potato. Mash them to start with, then as she manages this smooth texture, move onto steamed & chopped veggies.

Best to introduce veggies before fruit, as when they get the sweet taste of fruit it's harder for them to adjust to the savoury taste of veggies. With fruits, you can stew them in a pot eg. rhubarb, apple, pear, peaches. Grating apple and carrot are good options for introducing thicker textures. Chop toast in small fingernail size squares, give one at a time, watch her at all times, so she doesn't choke or try to put in more then 1 at a time. These methods worked gr8 with my 2 gals. Also chewing on a baby teething rusk, helps the chewing develop and teeth to break thru.

Buy a mini food processor and grind everything you eat. I made my kids baby food starting around that time because they just didn't like the store stuff. It tends to be very bland.

My daughter stopped eating baby food around 8 months. She was the same way...I started her out on very soft foods because she didn't have any teeth. You can try pureeing regular food. I know that makes it tastier for them because you can add more flavor. I think as long as the pieces are cut up small enough and mushed up enough and you are watching her she will do fine and still get the nutrition that is needed. Just be sure to keep up with the formula. Hope this helps hun!
