My daughter has always been very calm and easy to sleep, but these past week its felt as if she's just been born and doesn't want to sleep at all!!

I breast feed her, so when she gets roudy, i just put her on the breast and she calms down, but she pushes herself away. She's become very dificult, I've been told it might be her teeth, she already has her 2 bottom teeth, but none other have poped up.

This has been going on for about 2 weeks. Today is the FIRST DAY I can't sleep because she kept crying in her sleep every HOUR. Every time I put her to sleep she emediatly rolls on her side, you see I put her to sleep on her stomach, and yesterday she started coughing, not a bad sounding coughing, just like when you choke on your own saliva choke.

I'm really worried, terriefied and scared, please someone help at least with advice of peace of mind, anything will help.

My daughter was a bad teether too. But now she is older and is back to her sweet old self! Don't worry it will get better! Things I did to help her - baby tylenol, small suckers - if you think she is old enough, they are perfect because they are a special treat and they can put them in their mouth right where they need something the most - since they are the only ones that know. Frozen waffles - feels good on their gums, and I found this little toy that vibrates when they chew on it, that was probably her favorite!

To get her to sleep sometimes I would give her medicine, then fill up a bottle (I was unable to breastfeed for medical reasons) and fill her up with as much milk as she wanted, she always fell asleep better on an full stomach.

Good luck, hope she feel better!

i know this is an older post but i just now saw it! If shes teething then she has a lot more saliva in her mouth and that may be the reason for the "chocking cough"! If shes not sleeping at night, try hylands teething tablets or if its really bad, infants tylenol! my oldest was a horrible sleeper bc she is lactose intolerant and things like butter and milk, in her food, would keep her up all night!

Hey there, my little one is 11months and she is going through the same thing. Is she on a paci? or does she have a favorite stuff animal? What I do for my daughter, I give her ; her favorite animal talk to her quietly, stroke her hair, and snuggle her, it takes a few mins but she falls asleep after 10mins... Try that. If not try giving her a warm bottle.
