Hello, Moms! I am desperate need of some help!! My nearly 9 month old baby girl refuses to sleep in her crib. When I give her her last bottle, I do it in our bedroom. Once she is asleep, I carry her into her room and place her in the crib. 9 times out of 10, she stays asleep. If she does not, I bring her back in our room and she falls asleep in our bed and stays for the whole night. If she does stay asleep, it is not for very long. She'll cry and wake me up and I bring her back to our bed where she falls asleep quickly. She does NOT want anything to do with her crib. Now, I am a stay-at-home-Momma and Havana is with me all day long. Even when my hubby comes home, he is not a lot of help and she is with me all night, too. Today, I tried to get her to take her naps in her crib and it was NOT successful. On an additional note, she slept in our room, in her own play yard, for her 1st 4 months. For her next 4 months, she slept perfectly fine in her crib...all night! We have been truly blessed!!!

Any suggestions?? I feel like a failure; I feel like I caused this. Any info would very much appreciated!! Thank you SO much!!

Smiles, LeSara Q. Miguel ~ Momma to Havana Adelina Miguel: my little HAM

My aunt found her LO was upset by waking up alone and started making sure she was already crib-side when he woke from his naps, and letting him sleep nights in their bed for a few weeks during this time. After a while she started putting him in his crib in their room after falling asleep at night too, and he did just fine. Each night she'd move his crib a little further out of the room till about a week later it was in his room fully. It was just a security thing for him and this worked to quell it.

have u tried to feed her bottle in her room, then once she has finished, read a book with her in your arms, still in her room, just give her cuddles until shes ready to go down, put her in her cot then sit next to to cot until shes asleep with the lights out, once shes finally down move slowly away from the cot to the door and stay there for a little bit, until u know for sure that shes down. every time she tries to climb out or stands up, just place her back down but dont say anything. just after a couple of times say its bed time, give her a cuddle while you are lying her down again. the more u give in to her by bringing her to your bed, the harder it is to get her to sleep in her own bed. also what ever you are wearing, when u put her down (like i top of jersery) just take it off you and place ontop of her in bed, she mite like the smell of you close to her
