My 5 year old boy has ds. When born he also had an imperforate anus. We have had anal-rectal pull through at age 1. Sphicter (spelling) muscle is weak, but he is able to tell you "diaper" after he wets, poops, or even passes gas. He will not go to potty. This summer I am going to try taking him on demand every hour (this was suggested by his next year K teacher) ANy other suggestions?

Hi

We to have a boy who was born with an inperforated anus and is now 2yrs and 7 mths... he has very loose stools and it's constant.. on average his poos 10 plus times during the day but for some reason not as often during the night.. it seems he has no bowel control.. hence we're yet to commence toilet training... any suggestions?
