How do you keep glasses on a baby/toddler?

My daughter is 16 months old and has been wearing glasses for about 6 months (the one piece plastic kind with the band in the back). She's been good about leaving them alone, only occassionaly pulling them down. Until a month ago, when she discovered she can pull them up and off of her head, and then toss them across the room. Ack! Does anyone have any ideas on how to help keep them on her head? I tried barrettes, but with her thin hair, they glide right out when she pulls, and she won't keep a headband on, either. I keep joking that the next step is duct tape, but I need a serious solution!! Help, please!
