Hi, my name is Tina and I have a 21 year old son that lives with me. I also am Bi-Polar. My son was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrom at the age of two. He want talk or spend time with me always on the computer or with his friends. He does not drive but I can't afford the insurance. He went to college the first semester he did fine but the second semester he failed a class and dropped a class it was not all his fault I had a terrible bout with depression I would try to drive him but I would close my eyes and hit the car in front of me, no one was ever hurt. I feel guilty I think I messed his life up. He is now working as a cart pusher at Walmart he says he likes but I want more for my son. He is a great kid but you have give such Perice instructions I get frustrated with him and lose my patience with him. I need help with a better way of dealing with him. I tried to join an Asperger meet up but he refused. I also have trouble with his hygiene it is like he does not care. I saw a post asking for a web pal and if there is a boy about his age and maybe he can understand why he is the way he is. I love him so much I hate to see him struggle thank you for listening.

Thank you, Natalie I think you are right about giving compliments and point out good things he dose. It seems I only tell him when he not trying and I lose my temper. Thank you for the web page Gaiam TV I will check it out again thanks for the reply,

I am very sorry for your issue and have experienced much heartache with my daughter now age 23. The 1 thing that works best for me is to always compliment and point out the good things she does. When I start thinking she is normal and talk to her about anything that should work on or do different she gets mad and will not talk to me. Having a child with these issues will cause depression. I now get up everyday and do exercise and meditate. The meditation has helped me tremendously. Go to Gaiam TV and see all the work outs for 10 minutes and inspirational things they offer. This has changed my life. I try to watch an inspirational program every morning if I can. Hope this helps,
