is it ok to give my son who was born with a unilateral cleft lip and palate, baby rice cereal? He is not gettin full off of just formula but im scared to give him baby rice cereal like i did with my daughter when she was his age, just because he has no palate

Yea you can but have a burp cloth handy becasue it can get messy. My son always had his baby food and cereal come out his nose. Good luck!!

Absolutely if he is old enough, you might need to just play around with the thickness of it to get it right for him. I started my son around 6 months on oatmeal & he loved it. He had a tougher time between 9-11 months with stage 3 & the chunkiness. He did not have his palate surgery until 11 months old.
