I agree Shannon, that little girls shouldn't wear suggestive clothing. My 3 year old loves to wear dresses, but it is hard to find them with a long enough skirt. I end up buying dresses that are several sizes to big so the skirt goes down to her knees, she still has to wear shorts or tights under them. I have a hard time understanding why some parents dress their little girls up like Hoochie Mama's, I for one don't want my little girl to lose the innocents of childhood any sooner than she has too.

If you think the clothes are expensive how about when they start with the American Dolls. Athena is 6 and she started asking for the American doll before Xmas. I took her to Target to show her their version but that little diva knows the difference so I (Santa) got her the doll with accessories and her Godmother got her the friend of her doll now she wants the bed, the wardrobe etc. For her birthday she wants to take some friends to the American Girl Store on NYC..where do I draw the line..Talk about expensive

I found an awesome pair of slim-fit Rocawear jeans for my daughter, they're dark denim with amber stitching and rhinestones. Love 'em! She looks so precious. But I agree with you Shannon, you have to be real careful with what they wear. A lot of the stuff out there is kinda 'suggestive' for a little girl to be wearing! I'll never forget one time I was in a consignment store and a woman came in and asked the owner if she had any thongs for a six year old. Both the owner and I were thinking 'thongs' like the ones you wear on your feet. NO. She meant thong UNDERWEAR, for her SIX year old to wear under her extreme low-rise jeans, so they'd be visible. WTF?!?! The owner was disgusted (as was I!) and she just said "No." then turned and walked away. What is WRONG with some mothers!?

To an extent I agree... it is nice that we can wear some of the same brands... however, I think that some of the clothing made by these companies for our little princesses is a little to "old" looking. Maybe I'm a bit protective, but i want my 5 year old to look like she is 5, not 25....
