I have a 3 month old. I use Dreft Laundry soap, was just wondering if Its okay to use laundry softener, or is it okay just to use regular laundry soap? Keep using Dreft?
Do they make baby safe softener??

What is YOUR experience?!

Hope to hear from all of you!

Thanks!

I would just test little at a time.. maybe just do a tiny load of laundry with the softener of your choice and see if she has a reaction.. if she does just rewash what u used softener on and start again.. and when all else fails and you're really not sure just call her dr and see what they say... with my daughter I was very hardcore about dreft only because my family is prone to skin rashes and I have eczema bad so I didn't wanna risk making her get any type of rash. but as others said above me there are plenty of free and clear detergents and I'm pretty sure they have scent free softener sheets you could use.

I started out using only Dreft on the babies laundry, but one time I was out so I used our regular detergent. She did get bumpy dry skin from it. I found out from other moms that any free and clear detergent will do though, so now I just wash everyones clothes in Tide free and clear- that works great, no rash! I use dryer sheets that are free of perfumes and dyes on her laundry, and scented sheets for my own clothes.

I accidently used the families detergent in baby clothes load, softener included, she didn't have any reactions from it so I think you just need to judge it. All babies are different some have more sensitive skin than others.

Well I say buy the laudry softner thats hypoallergenic and you can't go wrong. A few months after I had my daughter, we found out she was allergic to laundry soap so we started using dreft or other hypoallergenic soaps and softener
