15weeks old exposed to chicken pox

My niece just got over the chicken pox's but my son was around her just before she got them. my neice's last pox scabbed over and cleared 2 days ago. How do i know when it is safe for my son to be near my sister, niece and nephew? Doctors are saying for 14-21 days but that seems like a really long time. Remember my son is 15weeks old

I would definately listen to the doctors. Especially since he was/is a preemie and his defenses aren't as up to par as a normal 15 week old baby would be. You also want to ask your sister to see if your nephew is showing signs of the pox as well. Good luck!
