try not to worry about the staples - they scared me too - they looked awful but when they removed them I could barely feel it. I closed my eyes and just felt a tiny bit of pressure, much easier than I anticipated!

Good luck with his photolight therapy - giving him breast milk also helps with the jaundice. Great job! Pumping is a lot of work but the breast milk really helps preemies develop immunity if you can produce it - I'm pumping too and feeding my daughter by bottle. Works great, she never took to the breast, but I'm glad she;s still getting breast milk to help her until she gets a bit older and stronger. Take care

Congratulations Tanja on Kadyn - great name! Glad to hear he has good weight and is doing well! Early babies can give you a real scare!

I had an emergency c-section too and it is a pain - try to take it easy even if you start to feel better. My daughter was in the hospital for 9 weeks after my c-section, so I didn't have much of a choice of taking it easy with going back and forth from the hospital...but still when I did anything more than this, I started bleeding again and had to spend a day in bed at home, not allowed to go see my daughter in hospital, it was the worst! I hope you have a quick recovery and I'm not sure if you're having a hard time breast feeding Kadyn because of the c-section but if you want to breastfeed, nurses usually can help you find comfortable positions after c-section (usually football hold, side hold, etc)

Take care!
