My little girl born at 31 weeks has a dermoid cyst to the side of her eye that has to be surgicly removed before she starts school purly for cosmetic reasons so she doesn't get picked on. It is not that obious yet but if it keeps growing it will be. Has anyone had anything like this before?

My daughter was 10 days over her due date but was born with a Dermoid Cyst on her left eye.
The doctors have told me that they won't surgically remove it as the scar can look just as bad as the cyst itself.
Sometimes she also gets small patchy red dots above her cyst eye if she gets really upset. Does this happen to your daughter?
If your daughter does have it removed I'd love to know how it turns out, as I've thought about having it removed too.

hi there, my son also born at 31wks has two of these on his left testical....the doctor has told me not worry about these unless they grow and not to play with them....but now at 10mths old he is starting to explore his body so he is starting to grab at them...unsure what to do now to keep little hands off them when he has a bath
