We had a 31 weeker and he was 4lbs 5oz. and he was in the NICU for 28 days and was 5lbs 13oz when he left.

my son was born at 26 wks weighing 1lb 15oz , born 8/29/99 wasn't due til november 15th, came home nov. 5th weighing 3lbs and 15oz. he was on oxygen and the apena monitor, only lasting effects is r.o.p hes blind in right eye leaglly blind in left eye but still top of his class in grades!!! wants to be an astrophysicist

My son was in the hospital for 3 months he was 26 weeks 4days gestation. His weight was 1 pound and 9.2 ounces. When he came home he was 7lbs 15 oz

My little boys were born at 27weeks.. Caleb came home first he was in fo 88days, then his brother Jacob came home at 98 days. Both boys would have been out at the same time if I didnt have to wait for Jacobs home oxygen to be approved.

My7 son was born at 25 1/2 weeks and was 2lbs 2 oz and he spent 2 months in the NICU. WHen i finally got to bring him home he was 4 lbs 3 oz.

I delivered at 24 wks 2days, he weighed 1lb 3oz.... stayed in the NICU for 73days.Born April 1st was due July 20th and came home Friday June 13th weighing 4lbs 5oz.
I love the NICU and L&D staff at Emory Eastside Hospital in Snellville, GA....

My son was a 28 weeker. He was 2lbs 10 oz at birth, and was put on a Bubble C-Pap which really helped his lung development (along with the steroids I was given 4 days before he arrived). He was in the NICU for 45 days, and was 4lbs 11oz at discharge.

My son was a 29 weeker weighed 2lbs 10oz at birth. Weighed 5lbs 10oz at discharge, and he was in the NICU for 9 weeks.

My daughter was a 31 weeker weighing in at 2lbs 2oz. She was in the nicu for 6 weeks due to being unable to suck on her bottles. Other than that everything was fine.

my daughter was born at 26 weeks and was in the nicu for 3months and 3days. my due date was sept 14 and i had her on june 8th she was 1.9lbs and 16 inches long and came home on sept 11th. it was a long wait that i would never want to do again

Congratulations on getting to bring her home!! My daughter was born at 26 weeks and was in the NICU for 59 days. She weighed 2lbs and was 14 in. long. My son was born at 28 weeks and was in the NICU for 52 days. He weighed 2lbs. 9oz. and was 14 1/2 in. long

my twins were born at 34 weeks and 1 day. and my girl twin was in for 10 days and my boy twin was in for 17 days .. They were both 4lbs 2oz at birth. Hospital rules they had to stay until at least gestational age of 35 weeks. I almost made it. They are 3 now and you would never know that they were preemie's ...

I had my son at 32 weeks and 1 day, i was in the hospital on bed rest for 3 months my water broke at 18 weeks he was 4 pounds and 11oz 17 inches long we stayed in the nicu for one month hes been home for 2 weeks and its so much fun!

Our daughter was born at 26 weeks and was in the NICU for 86 days before she could come home. She had to be 5 lbs before they would release her but she came home with a feeding tube and oxygen.

Wow, that's a hard thing to deal w/. My little man was in the NICU for 12 days which seemed like a life time, and he was there only to gain weight, no machines. I give all the parents credit that have to go through so much more then we delt w/. You feel so helpless but they grow so quick and you forget how small they once were.

My sons were born at 26 weeks. We were able to bring Henru home on day 88 with oxygen and the monitor. He will be 3 in April. He is a bit behind for his age, but is doing really well.

My daughter was born July 22, 09; 23 weeks 3 days gestation. She weighed 1lb 0.5oz and was 11.75 inches long. She was in the NICU for 111 days and was discharged at an even 5 lbs. She turned 7 months old just a couple of days ago.

My baby girl was 32 wks and 3 days she was 2lbs 8 ozs when she was born she stayed in the NICU for 3 weeks and 1 day and came home weighing 3lbs 6 ozs. I was lucky with my little one she is strong and has been from the get go, she is now 11mths and 3 weeks old it is still hard for her to gain weight, she eats very well, just doesn't seem to be putting anything on She is now 13 lbs 5 oz and 27 and 3/4 in long. She's very tiny but rambuncous and so much fun. She is my angel I pray for all the mothers of preemies It is very hard for a mother to have to leave her baby in a hospital all the time, barely getting to touch, or bond with your child. But in my case I was very lucky to have made some wonderful friends in the NICU also i don't think i would have made it through if it wasn't for them sometimes..

3 1/2 months in ICN. went home for a month and then returned to the hospital for a month with a diagnosis of "failure to thrive", resulting in a g-tube insertion. Spent a year and a half on oxygen and spent almost 2 years weening her off the g-tube. At 3 yrs, Ella is a bright, joyful little girl, who still doesn't like to eat (unless it's chocolate) and has some gross motor delays. Not bad for a 27 weeker who started out at 1lb. 2oz.

Our first son was born at 29 weeks. 2 pounds 13 inches long was in the NICU for 8 and a half weeks. He will turn 7 this May. Had our third son (full term) this June and was in the NICU 9 weeks for esophageal surgical repair...

My son was born 3.5 weeks early. and we stayed in the NICU for 12 days. he is now six months old.. and we are just finding out about some of the stuff that happened in the hospital!
but he was 6 lbs 5 oz when he was born.. and now is a whopping 20 lbs!

my 25 weeker was in the nicu for 4.5 months. he weighed 1 lb 14 oz at birth and around 7 lb when he came home. he was on apnea monitor and NG feeding tube when he was sent home. now he is a darling 4 yr old with no problems except that he needs glasses. he had a rough start in life...

My twins were born 32 weeks 4 days and they spent 4 weeks in the NICU. They were 4lbs. 13 oz and 4lbs 4 oz at birth and left weighing 6lbs 1 oz and 5 lbs 3 oz.. The little one came home 4 days before her bigger sister. They are almost 3 and she is still smaller but still more determined!!!

My daughter spent the 1st 4 months of her little life in the NICU at Duke. But then again she had other health problems besides being 3wks premature, she weighed 3lbs 2oz but lost down to 2lbs something. she also had a congenital heart defect, is a diabetic, & a microdeletion to her 8th chromosone.

she has already had one of the 2 heart surgeries that she needs. & date wise she is 19months old.

my daughter was 33+4 weeks weighing 2lb 9oz due to growth restriction!! she was in nicu for 4 weeks exactly and left weiging 3lb 11oz!! she is now 23weeks old and weighs about 10lb!!

This was 28 years ago, but we had a 27 weeker. Was able to get 48 hours of steriods in, weighed just under 2 lbs. Was in NICU for only 3 weeks and we brought her home weighing 3.8 lbs. You would never know it today!

We were able to come home after a long 155 days. She was a 26weeker on the dot when she was born. She was 1lb 6oz when she was born and when we came home she was 7 lbs. Congrats on getting home. I know how hard it is to be there that long.
