Twins...
My daughter was born at 20 weeks gestation. 9oz/9inches. And became an angel shortly after birth.
My 2nd daughter was born at 23 weeks/3days gestation. 1#2oz/11 inches.
Both born naturally (although maintaining my pregnancy after delivering and losing our first baby seemed everything but "natural")

My daughter just gave birth naturally to her first child (born on 4/19/13). Her water broke so they induced her labor and he was born 6 1/2 hours later. She had about 3 weeks of braxton hicks prior to her water breaking. She was already at 3cm when her water broke. He arrived 4 weeks early and weighs 7 pound 4.5 ounces and is 19.5 inches long. The doctor said he is still considered a preemie because he was born before 37 weeks and they say the other "preemie indicator" is that he still has a lot of peach fuzz on his body and still had the white vernix on his skin. His lungs are perfect which is a blessing! He is perfectly healthy! No need for NICU or incubator. Can't imagine how big he would have been if she would have carried him for another 4 weeks!

Although he is still on the small side for both height and weight for his age (10 yrs.) and having some developmental delays, he is a healthy and happy boy and the light of my life!

My son was born at 36weeks and was born at 5 pounds 7 ounces. It was a natural and spontanious labor it lasted about an hour. I woke up in a lot opf pain and went to the hospital to find out I was 10cm and they broke my water and he was worn 5 minutes after that. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks for water in his lungs and problems with his oxygen. They found he had a heart murmer and at 7 weeks old he had heart surgery for a hole in his heart and his aorta being to narrow. Now he is doing healthy and growing really quick.

My water broke when I was 23weeks, stayed in hospital on bed rest for a week exactly and then was having a NST test and they noticed baby's HB was deceleration pretty bad (from 170HB to 80HB) every five mins!!! Scared me and my nurse and with in 30 mins I went from 0 dilation to full and was rushed for an emergency c-section but the doctor (bless his heart) decided to turn my baby and I gave birth vaginally! Was the most intense and scary and quickest delivery I've had!! My daughter was born 1lb 12oz 12in!! Is currently in NICU, and is stable. I know she has a looooong road ahead of her, but I have faith she will be a fighter and hang on!

I just wanted to post a quick update to my other post (3 up from this one) and let everyone know that my daughter, Liliauna, is doing so great now. She still has a heart murmur, but it's not affecting her yet so the doctor is holding off on getting that fixed. She's (as of June 15) now 10lbs, 2oz! If I didn't tell someone she was a 4.5 month old preemie, they'd automatically assume she was a 2.5 month old healthy baby. She's hitting all the milestones for her corrected age and is loving life!

My daughter was born 9 weeks premmie naturally, weighed 3 pounds & 11 ounces, stayed in hospital 4 weeks, she had many challenges. She was not able to walk un-assisted, she needed support to sit up, drooled constantly, developmentally delayed, frequent body tremors, some seizure like episodes, kind of in a daze all the time, clenched left hand, choking on her food, speach problems, left side weakness etc. She was elevated on her toes when holding her to walk, she was splinted for a leg brace & they wanted to give her botox, but after researching botox and discovering how it’s made and there were no long term studies I decided against it. Her life was restricted & so was mine ...and it looked this way for the rest of her life ... & mine. I felt hopeless.

We were attending all sorts of treatments and therapies which cost a lot. A friend told me about some special wellness supplements from a particular company, she started taking them in her yogurt, after one week she was up walking un-assisted, it made an immense difference to her brain function, memory, balance, mood & cognition in a short space of time. She began to thrive. I was elated!

I am so grateful to the person that told me about this incredible technology. She now has a life now ….. and so do I. It’s now over 14 yrs later and she continues to take these special nutrients, she has attended normal public schools, she is almost 16, in a few weeks she begins driving lessons and has just started an after school casual job in a fast paced food takeaway. Now she is taller than me.

I had my baby, Liliauna Xyxi, on Feb. 10, 2012, 9 weeks early, by emergency c-section because my kidneys were failing due to being pregnant. She was 3lbs, 3oz at birth, but is up to 3lbs, 11oz as of yesterday! We're still not sure when she'll be coming home, but she's doing GREAT!

My original due date, for my second pregnancy, was 2/10/10. On 11/9/09 I became sick, I had an achy body, headaches, I would shake and spike a fever of 104 or higher. I was put on medicine to treat swine flu (because that is what was going around at the time, and I had just gotten the vaccination 2 weeks prior). At 28 weeks I went into premature labor. After various tests, it was found that I had a staph infection in my blood (not MRSA), and was never able to pinpoint its origin. At 29 weeks (11/25/09), I went into labor again, and it couldn’t be stopped. When I was 5 cm dilated, I was transferred an hour away to a hospital equipped with a NICU. At that hospital I had an Amniocentesis and when I saw the fluid I knew I was having her in a matter of hours..

To make a long story short, I had an emergency C-Section. My beautiful baby girl (Lilyan) weighed in at 2 lbs 3 oz and was 15 inches long. She was discharged on 1/22/10! She is now a beautiful, smart, and wonderful 2 year old. She was just diagnosed last week with Apraxia of speech. I was wondering if being premature has anything to do with this diagnosis, especially in our circumstances where the amniotic fluid and her placenta was infected with the bacteria as well…

Thank you for letting me share our story!

Hannah kaitlyn is now 13 years old....born 26 week preemie, after 62 days on the vent and 83 days total in the hospital, I took her home and took off of work for a year to take care of her, she was on the heart monitor and oxygen for a year.

She is a miracle, the only residual problem is a little wheezing here and there after running a mile at school.....good luck :)........she weighed 1lb 11oz and now is 80 lbs.....she was in a size 6 for 4 years but finally got her groove...she is loving, stubborn, sympathetic to those in need, strong willed, and loves Jesus

My son was born 16 weeks early at 2llbs even. Was in labor the previous day at work, but since I'm a new mommy I didnt know what was going on, around 12am I started to bleed so I was driven to the hospital, around 1am I was already 5 cm dilated. Was then given medicine to stop the contractions ( didn't work) they were coming at a rate of 45 seconds apart. The doc then checked me and that was around 3 am was then 8 cm dilated. Finally 4:48am I delivered my son naturally!!!!!

After 2 hrs of pushing they went ahead and did a c- section. He is now a healthy 4 month old little guy weighing in at 13lb 14 oz and 23 1/2 in.. yeah he is still rather short :)
