Is anyone here doing March for Babies?

I am ! This will be my 4th walk. I'm excited because it's in my  backyard!!  I'm helping to get the word out about the very first walk ever in the Bronx (N.Y). Orchard Beach on May 3rd. Registration starts at 8am and the walk at 9.

Congratulations on being chosen to be the Ambassador Family!! I have also been approached about that as well. I too believe that my daughter, Olivia wouldn't be as great conditon without the help from the staff in our NICU as well as the March of Dimes.

I agree this is a very important organization. What you should also do is log onto www.shareyourstory.org where moms, dads & loved ones of preemies blog and get advice from one another. We share your happiness and also our pain. I personally think it's stress relieving, especially when you think your alone & no one else understands. Also every year, usually in October,  there is ShareUnion (sponsored by the March of Dimes). This is where we all meet up to talk meet the faces behind the screen names and site moderators as well. It's really a fun conference in which we also discuss volunteering but it also has a remembrance ceremony which is very touching.Last year we met in your state of Texas, but we were in Houston. This year it will be in Washington.

Couldn't you do the walk and put the babies in a stroller?  That's what I'm doing and I'm told it's a casual walk so you're able to stop when you want.

My family is walkng for the first time this year.  We got involved through the NICU where our daughter was born, they tied it in with her NICU reunion which is being held after the walk on April 26.  

Congrats on being ambassador this year!  The March of Dimes has helped save so many babies.  And I can bet that every mommy in this group would be in a very different situation if it wasn't for everything the March of Dimes has done. 

I do have to ask if anyone has any good fundraising tips.  Every (and I do mean EVERY) family I know has one if not both adults laid off, myself included, so I'm finding it very hard to ask people to make even a very small donation knowing that money is so tight right now.

I want to so badly, but it seems like the ones in my area all happen on the same weekend, which is one where I will be out of the state :(. I am looking into finding another location that we'd travel to, though.

I'm doing March for Babies, our team name is "Younger Blessings".  Your t-shirt design is lovely and it's so nice that your daughter can be an ambassador for this!  March of Dimes supported me while my daughter was in the NICU,  very supportive organization.
