Is loud yelling normal?

I have an almost 8 month old who was born alomst 2 months early. A few weeks ago he strated to babale a little bit - but now all he seems to do is Yell Very loudluy all the time. We are not sure if this is a sign of something wrong or if he is just finding his voice. He still babales sometime, but not very much and the yell is not a sad or hurt yell - he just yells when playing or even sometimes went being held. Courious to know if anyone else has experienced this.

Joseph does it too, sometimes its like a really mad yell, other times its almost a laughing yell, one sounds like "a-goooo" I like that one! He's 6 months now, 3 months corrected. I expect the yelling to improve when he's about, oh 23 or so!!!

Thanks for the input. That makes me feel better - especially when I am in the store and he yells and everyone looks.

My daughter was/is the same way... when she started to use her voice it was a yell, LOL I thought something was wrong all the time... in time i learned her diffrent babales/yells!!! She is now 19 months (16 1/2 corrective) and still yells all the time. She really likes to yell when music is on LOL!!!

My daughter is 3 1/2 months ( about 2 1/2 months corrected) old and she yells too...it almost sounds like when a kid yells out, "MOM." ...short and loud. It's funny. She usually does it when she needs someone around to give her attention or when she is wet.
