Quoting shona:
hi janet, i've had 2 premmies one now 3.5 and the other 6.5 months. I'm also a nurse and although lots of doctors will advise you to give it I won't be giving it to my 2. There has been no research into the side effects (if any). Unless she has asthma or any other health issues it's not that necessary for her to have it. Thanks Shona...I am also not sure about the safy of the swine flu shot also. I have been asking various doctors about the safy factors of this drug and all they are saying is it is safe with no hard facts or data. My daughter was tested for asthma in August, which the test result show that she doesnot have asthma...But I am concern because she has breathing problems like a asthma child only during the fall and winter months. The test also showed that she has very bad out door allergies...so does the breathing problem cause by the allergies make her a candiate for the swine flu shot?, I am not sure. I am not comfortable with the idea of giving her a live virus injected in her body. I am not getting the shot myself....I have never gotten a flu shot and never had the flu...

My preemie is 20 mnths and won't be getting the shot. We don't even get the regular flu shot. In my opinion this H1N1 is way over hyped. The regular flu kills a lot of people every year yet those deaths aren't plastered all over the news. The best defence against the flu is hot water and soap.

My daughter is 16 and she is a preemie teenager. I have never given her any flu shot due to the fact that it can cause problems. Even now and the age that she is, I still won't. She is healthy and active and she works with the public and she has never gotten sick. I educate her on good cleansing of the hands and such, and that seems to work.

No Way! I feel this vaccine isn't quite safe for adults let alone children..this flu kills. The best thing I feel is good hand washing.....and education about the spread of flu.

My twins were born at 27 weeks (they will be 3 in December) and my youngest has breathing problems so I asked my doctors office if they were going to give out H1N1 shots and they told me no, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that they don't get it ( and it is all over the county I live in)....

Both of my children were under 5 pounds and have asthma. There doctor strongly recommends that they get the flu shot every year. By the grace of God, neither of them have gotten the flu (I, on the other hand, get it at least once a year).

I hope everything is ok>>>>
My son was 3 months premature and is now 22 months old...he got the flu shot last year and had no side affects. He will be getting the flu shot again this year along with the H1N1 shot b/c it came highly recommended from his doctor. If you are unsure talk to her doctor and see if it is right for her.

My daughter is still young, only 20 mos, but will betting the vaccine. We managed to make it through her first winter with only one cold and one bout of pneumonia, so I am going to try really hard to keep her healthy again this year. I will also be getting it since I am pregnant.

My daughter gets the flu shot every year and she's 14. She was also a preemie. Out of these years she has had the flu one time. With the swine flu now introduced , I have found an organization; a family that is interested in True Health. Usana is known for their cellular nutritions. The founder Dr. Wentz have a vision to free everyone of pain and suffering.
Anyways, there are nutritional supplements for both genders and all ages. Your child will take the Usanimals. My daughter takes the Body Rox for teenagers.
We have already have testimonies about how the products helped to prevent as well as limit the time of illness attacked by the swine flu.
Visit: www.armstrong_s.usana.com and/or call if you have any questions 210-508-1488

My 5 year old 30 weeker will be getting it. I was on the fence, but she was already sick on the 2nd day of school, so her immune system obviously isn't up to par yet.
