There is a group of women trying to establish a website created purely upon womens experiences as mothers and mothers to be. its a not for profit endeavor that will be advert free and unbiased towards any brands, companies, way of thinking etc and maintained by volunteers.
the 'vision' of the site (called 'the two pink lines') is:
'there is no limit to the text book information found on the internet - but nowhere to be found is a compilation of actual womens experiences and the heartaches, difficulties and joys that come with every situation placed before you while traveling the motherhood journey.'
as the site will be made of entirely motherhood experiences, they are in need of submissions from anyone willing and able to send them in - the hoped for launch of the website will be in jan/feb 09, its date will depend on how many and how quickly they can get ahold of experience submissions.
The needed topics are as follows:
trying to conceive - all stories
fertility treatments to get pregnant
miscarriages/losses/still births
pregnancy - all stories
multiples
health problems/complications
labour and birth
ceasars (planned or emergency)
emergency situations
premature babies
health issues for baby - when you found out, how its been since
experiences can be any length, the only requirement is that you try and keep each childs story seperate (when refering to pregnancy and births) even if its just seperate paragraphs for easier cross referencing on the site. you can remain anonymous, or tag your name, aslo an attched photo is welcome if you like (but not needed at all)
send anything your willing to share via email to:
submissions@thetwopinklines.com
for more questions, email:
admin@thetwopinklines.com
to receive updates on the website email:
updates@thetwopinklines.com
please forward this message on to anyone that might be willing to share, including the members of your circle, or circle communities - this is a chance to be apart of something wonderful, you really do never know who your own experiences might some day comfort or help.
P.S. any written submission will reamin the property of the submitter, and will not be copied, reprinted, or used in any form to create money or funds of any kind.
