Hi there!

My daughter, Sophia, was born at 24 weeks weighing 1lb 12oz, 13.5 inches. We spent 5 long months in the nicu. came home on oxygen and an NG tube. Both were gone by her first birthday. She walked just before her 1yr adjusted birthday. She was 15 mon actual. Not bad considering her full term brother was 15 months when he did too so she did it first. :) She is now 6 yrs old, is 4feet tall(tallest girl in her class) and is doing very well in school. Her teacher actually bragged about her the other day that she's very ahead of the others in her class. Seems she likes to do everything early not just being born ;) Like Kelley said, you'd never know she was a preemie or even a mirco preemie looking at her now.

Good luck!!

my daughter Jayden was born [26 weeks] Sept 12, 07 1 lb 11 oz 12 in, graduated from the NICU Jan 7, 08 5 lbs 13 oz 16 in, 117 days old, my 2 years old is now about 20 lbs
she got surgery in Nov 07 [PDA] open heart, she came home on a pulse ox and oxygen which she is still on at night, she is still not walking and still has trouble feeding but we have physical and occupational therapy and hope to stat speech/feeding therapy soon.

we did alot of praying and have always tried to be positive, although my daughter isnt done fighting she has come a very long way, God has blessed us, she is our little fighter, our little miracle

Hi hun, welcome, my son Adam was born at 25wks, weighing 1lb 14.5 oz, he spent 22 wks in NICU, and went home oxygen dependant weighing 7lbs 2oz.
He's now 8 yrs and 9 mths old, and due a lot of complications has severe quad CP, a VP shunt, vision and hearing loss.
Physically Adam is like a baby of 4-6wks of age, he't can't hold up head up very well, and can't sit ect, and never will, he communicates through bady language, smile, frowns ect, but can say 'Ads' his own name, and Dada, and says 'Hiya' for hello :D
He is still oxygen dependent, but hopefully may come off his oxygen in the next yr or two.
