My daughter Jaya was born at 36 weeks with gastroschisis. She has a few issues with her kidneys so now i am wondering if any oth mommy's babies had this issue. Her Right Kidney was a little larger then the left and has a very high out put of urin.. Puls at her 9 month (8month adjusted) app today her ped said he was sending us back to Neo team to check and make sure she is devloping around her age.. She is not rolling or crawling and ect. She just started sitting up a few days ago.. She is a very happy healthy baby and seems to be growing at a normal rate for being a month early.. Any other moms gone or going through some thing like this.. We go to see her surgery team, Neo team, eye sepcailest and kidney sepcailest ... Then every three months we go and she her Surgery Team and Peds doctors... Any advice or any thing encourging words would be great.. Thank you all so much...

Thank you,

Andrea

Andrea, my twins were born 36 weeks. The boy of the twin ia a boy with Down sindrome, so I can feel for you development wise. It is sad to hear that your baby has help issues, and pray that she will be well soon. Please raise your concers re development with the Peds the next time you see them,so that they can refer you to people who can help you. It's better to "rectify" developmental issues when they are smaller than if they are bigger. At 9 months (for example) Elana (the other twin) was trying to walk already. Christiaan was about 8 months when he sat by himself, and he has low muscel tone due to the Down sindrome. And that was earlier than he should have. So my advice is - HAVE IT CHECKED OUT ASAP SO THAT YOU CAN START THE CORRECT THERAPY ASAP!!!! Trust all will be well with Jaya and yourself. God Bless
