I was wondering how old your premmie was when they started teething? My daughter is 3 months old 22 days corrected age. She is showing all the signs of teething but I don't know... could that really be the problem or could it be something bigger? I would love any feed back.

my girls were 3 weeks early and i noticed signs of teething when they were only 3 1/2 months (actual age)! i was shocked!! none cut thru for a while, but they were indeed teething that early.

Hey there -- my premie started teething just over 3 months old -- and when I asked the Dr about it he said that a premie or full term baby can start to teeth anything between 3months and 8months -- and she was 6 weeks early

My son showed signs of teething at 4 months (2.5 months adjusted), and nothing came through until 10.5 months.

Yeah, I think my son started teething around 3 months, but he's almost 6 months now and still no teeth, but I can start to see a bud or two in his gums. Have lots of bibs on hand lol! He soaks through everything =P

My daughter was born 2 months early, she is 9 months (7 months adjusted) and has 7 teeth already. Ask your doctor about baby orajel since if your child still has any respiratory problems that could be an issue if you were to get too much and it numbs their throat instead. She got her first 2 teeth in early September at 6 months (4 adjusted). Good luck. It hasn't been fun to watch our daughter get these last 5 teeth in, which she did in less than four weeks.

My daughter got her first tooth on 20th November, she was 7 months or 5 months 1 week corrected. It was one of the side bottom teeth that came through instead of the usual bottom front teeth.

Ooooh! Fun fun! I have twin boys that were born 5 weeks early. The doctor didn't expect it until 6 months. They are almost 5 months old and have been drooling like crazy for a month! Also the diaper rash, crankiness, chewing fingers and everything else... Their gums are finally getting sharp!
My daughter was actually 3 weeks late and she was just as tiny as her preemie brothers. She started teething also at 3 months. She had her two bottom teeth by the middle of her 4th month.
Another friend of mine with a preemie baby didn't sprout anything until 9 months old.
BABY ORAJEL IS MY LIFESAVER!!!!!!! Good luck!
And congrats, your lil girl is growing up already-first step, TEETH! :D :D :D

My son started teething at 5 months. From this day on he still hasn't got his 2 bottom teeth in. Still waiting for them to kick in as you can say so he can eat Table Food.

she could be teething but that doesnt mean teeth are going to come in anytime soon. my girl started teethin before her due date and is almost 8 months old not adjusted without any teeth yet. talk to your dr about how to ease pain.
