What to feed a one-year old preemie?

My daughter was born at 34 weeks. I was told not to put salt or sugar in her food before she turns 2. Does anyone know about this?

Never heard about the sugar/salt thing, but I think that's just common sense for anyone.. if you don't need to put extra sugar/salt on it, don't. At one year old she should be able to eat almost anything you eat.

My son was born at 37 weeks and he need sugar in his body. so they had to give him insulin. I was not told not to give him salt or sugar but til this day I don't cook with salt and as for sugar stuff he has it in moderation. I would go with what the doctor says because it may be for a certain reason they tell you this. Things you can feed your baby are fresh fruits, put them in a puree or vegetables. If you get the jar foods, get the Earth Best brand, its really good.
Check with your child's doctor why they are telling you not to do this.

My son was early too. He's now 4. I still don't add salt or sugar to his food.
My 2 yr old daughter was full term and I don't add them to her food either.

I haven't heard of it but like I said I don't add anything to my kids foods and never have. Even with my own food, I don't add salt or sugar.
