I had a 34 weeker who weighed 5lbs 2oz and was only in the hospital for 8 days. A perk of being injected with steroids 3 different times before he was born.

My son was born at 33 weeks, 4 days. He weighed 4 lbs 9 ounces at birth. Stayed in the NICU for 18 days, we got to bring him home on Christmas Eve! They had originally told us 4-5 weeks and that boys tend to take longer than girls. He had a few rough days where he was on a vent and had a chest tube, but after that he made steady improvements until we were able to bring him home. Usually the thing that takes the longest is getting the hang of oral feedings. Good luck to you!

I have had a 28 weeker, came in at 850grs then 30 weeker came in at 870grs and a 32 weeker. 900grs. what weightn is your premmie baby?
