My son is born 28 weeks, now two years and 5 months and has global developmental delay, He find it hard to sleep early at night. When i prepare him to bed, it takes 2 hours or more before he gets to sleep. When i forced him, he'll end up screaming in the mid of the night. he also wakes up every 2-3 hours crying and screaming again. i need your suggestions on what to do. anyone who's experiencing the same?

Ok. Thanks for sharing it to me. But I co-sleep with my son. and he even wakes up when I'm beside him.

I co-sleep with my son, who is 4 1/2. He has PDD-NOS (pervasive development disorder - not otherwise specified, which is an autistic spectrum disorder). If he sleeps alone, he wakes up every 90 minutes and panics until he can find me. Cosleeping has eliminated that.

I also tried using melatonin (on the advice of the pediatrician). It really helped turn our 90 minute nightly ordeal into a pleasant 30 minute experience. After about 6 months, I stopped the melatonin and (fingers crossed) bed time is still going ok.
