my waters broke at 34 weeks and i had him 3 days after by c section. he is fine (15 months now) only had to stay in hospital 3 weeks.

my water broke at 32 weeks, that was around 2pm and i delivered my baby at 10pm same day. they need to do the c-sections since my cervix was at 2cm only.

My water broke at 25 wks, I delivered my son at 27 wks, 2.8lbs. He was in the NICU for nearly 3 months. He is now a 17 year old young man! Amazing to think back on those tough months and see now what a wonderful young man he is!

I had a premature rupture of membranes at 24 weeks, I was in the hospital for 31 days and then suddenly went into labor, my daughter was born at 28 weeks and 1 day and is now 71 days old and still in the hospital because she won't take a full bottle every three hours yet...

My water broke at 26 weeks and they were able to stop labor and I was stuck in the hospital for 8 weeks and had my son at 34 weeks weighing 5lbs 1oz.

Hay Mandie, I too have been thought want you have been through. My water borke at 23ws and 5 days. It was my frist baby and my husband and I were shopping when it happened. I didn't know what was worng... I thought that I was losing my baby, we went out the back door of the mall and walked to the front of the mall. My husband doesn't have a licence so I was going to drive myself back to the hospital. we have a standard car. Lucky my anut and uncle were there and we flaged them down. when we got to the hospital, they sent me for an ultrasound to see if the baby was ok. Strong heart beat. I knew it was going to be good after that. I know that if god was going to take my baby, I wouldn't be able to hear a heart beat. we live in a a small community, and the closes nicu is a 2 hour drive. Within an hour of getting to the hospital i was in an amblance heading to the bigger hospital.. I was admitted and told that I would be there until I went into labor. very scaring when you think that I was a very long ways from home. I was there for 6wks. My daughter was born at 29wks and 3 days. she weighed 4 lbs 1 oz. she was prefect and still is. she is now almost 9 months noncorrected. she has come a long way and still has a long way to go. she has had a bit of development issuses but is smart and seems to know what it is she is suppose to be doing,and gets upset when she cant make herself do it. I wish you all the best, and just know that there are alot of us out there. God has made us premmie moms because he knows we can handle it. god bless you.

hi i lost my waters at 21wks if it wasn't for a second scan at 20wks as she didn't play ball first time around we would never have known after having to make a few hard decisions she held on in i even regained a little fluid back and was hospitalised at 27wks and finally had her at 29wks she is now 18months old and absolutlely wonderful she had 1 wk in nicu then 5 wks in scbu she has had a few health problems since she is vulnerable to bronchiolitis rsv version but she is a diamond otherwise and i would go through it all again just to have her she is worth all of it xxx

My water broke at 33 weeks my son was born a week later at 4lbs 4 ounces. That was last week, he's is still in the nicu. He shouldn't be there too much longer probably only 2 weeks, your not alone :)

Hi My waters broke at 28 weeks, I was put on bed rest for 6 weeks but only lasted 4days.I had a beautiful baby boy who weighed 1256grams (2.5 pound) after 3 months in the NICU we went home. Best day EVER!! still have regular check up's & scans at 14 months but developing well. Joy of my life

With my 1st born I Started losing my waters at 27 weeks (felt like I was peeing myself constantly). Was put into hospital at 28 weeks with constant monitoring and my son was born 4 weeks and 3 days later with no fluid in the womb. He was born reasonably healthy weighing 3lb 3oz and we were only in hospital for 4 weeks. The doctors told me he was safer in the womb than out of the womb.

Hi,I lost my water by the time i was 28 wks and had my son Dylan who was 3Ibs,they put me in the hospital the week b4 to use IV to add fluids but to no avail and they told me that it was a risk to continue so i had a C section right away. Hope that your child is well,i was fortunate that my son was in fairly good health and was in hospital for only one month.
