well, just a quick hi to everyone!
im mummy to morgan blaize, he was born at 24 weeks, due to my placenta rupturing.
obviously this was an incredibly scary time, as there was no warning.
i awoke in the night in my 24th week,to find i was bleeding massive amounts. my partner called an ambulance, and while waiting,i vomited, and begane to pass out, from loss of blood.
once the ambulance came,i was brought to hospital, and told i needed an emergency c-section,as we were both in danger.
i cant describe the fear, but it was done before i knew where i was.
i awoke from the cection, and asked was morgan ok. i was told he was gone to the preemy ward, and on a ventilator. he was born weighing in at 1 pound 10 ounses.
i soon followed him,to get the biggest fright of all. i seen him,and could not believe how small a baby can be! he looked so ill,and see through,it broke my heart.
i was sick with worry, but as the days passed, that fear gradually eased.
i never felt so proud in all my life! this little guy was a fighter!!!! he wanted to be with us,and faught off his infections.
he was on his c-pap for a long time, if i recall right,it was about 2 months.
he then had a hernia operation, and lazer eye surgery.

2 years and 5 months later,(now) he is doing fantastic! he has no issues, apart from needing speech therapy, which is normal for any child.

i know so many mums here, will know exactly what i mean, when i say, he is a miricle!
and i feel like the proudest mum to walk this earth!

my biggest thanks will always go to those doctors and nurses who helped him in his fight for survival. i owe them everything.

Im so glad he is doing well I have had 2 premmies and the fear is huge! Both mine are doing ok they have had problems and do still have odd problems. Connor who is now 6 has had 6 surgeries but I look at them and he seem so perfect! Abbee is turning 5 in feb and starting school and well like the dr say she really shouldn't be here my waters broke at 23 weeks but she held on and is tiny but perfect she is just great. I dont know about you but I find prems more determined than anyone they are true fighters.

I also find that when they do get sick as older children they seem to deal with and take it in their stride. I am so proud of my two miracle and thats what they are Miracles. Best wishes for you and your familyx
