Large Head

This may sound weird but I am wondering if anyone else has a prem with a disproportionally large head?
My little Charlie was born at 28 weeks and is now almost 1. For her corrected age for 9 months she is on the 3rd percentile for weight, the 10th for length and above the 97th for her head circumference!! For her real age of 12 months, she is nowhere near being on the chart for weight, just on the 3rd for length and on the 90th for head circumference.
Poor giant headed baby!! She doesn't really look out of proportion because the size is mostly due to the length of her head on the side rather than width. I'm not really too concerned just heard that it is common for prems.
Anyone else got a gorgeous giant headed prem?

My baby has a large head to and always has. I think its because the head grows first while in utero and takes some time to catch up with the body, and you don't really get that time if the child is born early. Although my sons father has a giant head too, maybe its genetic LOL.

My lil one is 8 months and also measures bigger with his head, mommy always had a big head as well...I always say " Big heads hold Big Brains". lol As long as the growing of the head is progressive and not just a rapid growth then Im sure your cutie is fine....she is a doll.

My LO has been kind of high on the "normal kid" chart for head size since our first Dr. visit. He height just barely made it on last visit and weight is still below the 5% line. He doesn't look disproportional, either, but I do tell him it's tough for little babies with big heads to balance (upside down weeble-person effect!) for sitting, walking, crawling. . I also tell him he just needed more room for his smarts! Light-making aside, I think they all grow into their heads and your daughter is a cutie:).. If the size increase was sudden, your doc would send you for a CT or something to rule out hydrocephaly. If that is how she's been growing, no worries.
