First child born at 36 weeks. She was 6 lbs 10 oz. She is now 4 years old and weighs 31 lbs. She's always been on the light side when it comes to weight. She happy and healthy and that's all that really matters.

My son is 2 years old now. He was 5.6 when he was born and he is now "only" 27 pounds.
Does anyone have a problem with their toddler eating, maybe it's just a premature thing that happens im not sure..but he does not like to eat at all!!!

No there is no need if she is health and gaining some weight.it takes some preemies time to grow.But keep ur head up these babies r fighters so they will be fine before u know it she will be up walking talking and eatting everything and surprising u everyday with something new. Then they r on the move and we can't stop them ...lol

My daugther was born at 36weeks and weighed 4lbs 8oz. At her 9month weigh in she was 16lbs 8oz. She is on the low end of the scale but as long as your baby is gaining at a steady rate all is good.

my first son was born at 34wks weighing 4 pounds 13 ounces. now he is 7 years old and weighs 47 pounds. My second son was born at 38 weeks weighing 4 pounds 10 ounces. he is now 4 years old and weighs 36 pounds. My son was born at 36 weeks, weighing in a 6lb 8oz - 18 7/8in long. We left the hospital at him weighing in at 5lb 12oz. He is now 14 1/2 months old and barely 20lb, but is 35in tall. In January of this year he was diagnosed with failure to thrive and has since been on a high cal, high fat diet - and I can barely tell a difference.

My son was born at 34 weeks 4 lbs 15 oz 18.5 in long and at 4 months old he was 14 lbs 15 oz. and 24 in long. He's been gaining around 2-3 oz a day. They put him on extra calorie formula and he had reflux so I started adding cereal to his bottles. The Dr told me the other day they're gonna have to take him off the extra calorie formula because he's getting soo big. He's gonna have to defy gravity to roll over!

My Son was born at 34 weeks he weighed 5lbs 11oz and was 19 inches, he is now 18 months (16 1/2 adjusted) and weighs 22lbs and is 32+inches tall, while his sister was born at 37 weeks not considered a preemie at 5lbs 9oz and only 18 inches she is still small at 3 years and only 28lbs 36+ inches tall. All babies grow at their own rate as long as you pedi isn't concerned you shouldn't be.

Thank you all for your wonderful feedback, Except for the negative comment from Barbi Sarginson, In australia where i live a dr class a premmi as a baby born before 38weeks, so my daughter is a premmi and due to the fact of her weight i think she certainly comes under the 'term' premmi. My placenta stopped giving her the nutrient she needed at 32wks, Dr's just didnt pick it up quick enough to do anything about it before i went into labour, so her gestation was really only at a 32wk progress. Also why worry about something else when my daughters health is the most important thing to me!

My bubba was born at 33 weeks weighing 760grams. She is now 26 Months and 9.5kg. She sat at 5kg for half a year. I wouldnt worry too much as long as your bubbi is growing, even if it's slow. My daughter seems to have the right height but has a high metabolism and is skinny skinny skinny.

I had my daughter at 23 weeks and 4 days and she weighed 1 pound and 4 ounces. This was on August 16, 2009. She is now 6 and a half months old, 2 and a half adjusted, and weighs almost 11 pounds. Her ped said for how early she was she is doing perfect.
