Hey every one, I'm Jess i just had twins on May 19th 2009. I had a boy and a girl. The best of both worlds ^.^ Their names are Luna Gabriel and Xzavier Gaberiel. My babies were born two and a half months premature, weighing only 2 and 3 pounds. They are doing great and are perfectly healthy now, weighing 13 and 18 pounds. < Luna is the smaller one and Xzavier is the bigger one =]
I have recently been writing a blog about my journey through mother hood as a teen mom of twins. I would love for you to read it a maybe become followers!

My son was born by emergency C-section at 29wk's & only weighed 600g. He had a heart problem & he also had a weight problem but now all is fixed, he weighs 25lb 1oz & he is now 2yrs old. It is scary thinking is your son or daughter at the right weight but if you think they are doing good & so does the doctors then there is no reason to worry. (easier said than done by own experience) :)

Sounds like your daughter is doing well, she has already tripled her birth weight (usually term babies do this by the age of 1). My daughter was born at 32 weeks at 1.940kg and is now 13 months (11months corrected) and weighs 9.250kg. Prems have a rough start, but usually at the age of 3 years they have caught up to kids their actual age. She sounds perfect!!

ayden was 30wks 3lbs 1oz and he is now 3mnths old at 9lbs 120z the doctor was shocked and said premmies his age- 3months dont even double there weight and it takes a while for them to gain weight thus ayden is a monster.. and growing fast compared to what she normaly sees.

My daughter was born at 30 weeks 5 days and weighted 1190 grams, (2 lb 10 oz). She is 10 months 2 weeks old ( just over 8 months corrected) and weighs 17.8 lbs (8.09 Kg). She is 27.5" long. For length and head circumference, she is in the 50th percentile for her corrected age. She is only in the 40th percentile for her weight. The nutritionist is pleased with her weight at this time.

my son was born exactly at 4 months and weighed 2 lbs, for my son he gained weight really slow but he is 4 now and weighs 32 lbs. the dr says he is still behind on the height and weight but he is healthy. all kids are different myself and my sons dad are both small so thats something you have to look at to.

Thank you all so much, I see her dr and child health nurse regularly and they say she is doing really well and she is following the growth charts just still under them by the tiniest bit. Its still reassuring to hear how well so many other premmies are doing now.. :)

My Daugther was born at 31 week and some days she was 2lbs 14oz and now she is 7 months ans is 12lbs 2 oz and I was comcerned also with her weight. But her doctor advised she was health and that so would probaly be small do to the fact I am small . But also remember every baby is different and as long as she is health she is fine ( if the doctors not concerned then u shouldn't be either) she will gain more weight when it's time

My twins were 32 weeks weighed 1 lb 9 oz 13 inches and 2 lbs 9.4 oz 15 inches. They will be 9 in April and weigh 35 and 37 lbs now. They are following their own growth pattern on charts but are still way below normal. Preemie babies usually catch up to normal babies by the age of 5 yrs. Mine will be starting growth hormone injections this year.

my daughter was born at 34wks weighed 4 lbs 5 1/2 oz and 15 1/2 in. everything evens out if her doctor has no concerns and she eats good and frequently i wouldn't worry but talk to her doctor he'll know best and might put her on a higher fat formula or vitamins

My twins were born at 31 weeks weighing 1749g and 1935g and they are now three years old and they weigh 32 pounds a piece. I would say do not worry preemies eventually catch up. If you are nursing do it for as long as possibe. I found out through research that preemie mommies make special milk for their babies. It has more calories so they can grow better

My daughter was born at 36 weeks. She was 7 lbs 2 oz and 19 inches at birth. She is now 14 1/2 months (13 1/2 months adjusted) and she is 15 lbs 5 oz and 28 1/4 inches. Based on my daughters growth it sounds like your daughter is doing good but Becky has a heart condition that is creating weight gain issues. They say that babies should a least have doubled their weight by 6 months so it sounds like you are on track. Has the pediatrician indicated that they are worried?
