The Diagnosis is made by whom?

My son was evaluated by the OT and with the diagnosis of SPD. Does the diagnosis need to be confirmed with his pediatrician? Or is the OT evaluation results enough?

Usually by a specialist that work with deveolpmental children or your own pediatrician. Its also good to keep reports of all other services

The OT is the one that will diagnos and prescribe the treatment. But do your own research because sometimes it makes all the difference when you know how to offer suggestions that work for your child. Also tell all doctors involved with your sons care, he does have SPD, as that will affect how health professionals approach everything with your child.
