My daughter really wanted a party but I wasn't so keen so we looked into other options, I think we have settled on me,my husband, her and two friends going to go out of town to the York dungeons, then we will go for dinner and a bit of shopping round York (it's about a hour away from where we live, then were coming back home they can then go to cinema then off for a meal at pizza hut or something, then back home for a sleep over in the morning they can go swimming. She seem's to like the idea of a action packed day and I'v worked out it will be cheaper then the party plus I don't have to watch over a entire room of 13 year olds.
Me and my husband for his birthday one year did a action packed day, bowling, kfc, theatre, a restaurant n cinema it was loads of fun.

Try make up parties they are good to help the girls understand make up and how it SHOULD be done ..
