Hi, Patricia, can you give a little more info so I can help? Did you know about the boyfriend? Have you talked about boys and relationships? What does "boyfriend" mean to your 13 year old? You can't stop the hormones from doing what they do, but you can give her useful and supportive information that will help her make smart decisions. You can make this a situation that brings you together or separates you. Please use compassion, understanding and your ability to listen. Then some rules and standards need to be put in place.
