My son is 15yrs old and I have tried Everything I can to get him to go to school. Always has an excuse when I try to get him up. He is much taller and stronger than I am. I've tried everything from punishment to bribes. Nothing works. I suggested therapy but that's a no go. Any suggestions?

Once you have ruled out some sort of depression or safety issue, then school is not optional. My sons are taller than me but they certainly know that I am in charge.

This could be a cry for help.... have you asked him why he doesn't want to go to school... Maybe he needs to go to bed earlier, also is he allowed electronics/tv/phone included in his room-he may be missing important sleep for these things keeping him up, may need to take these away at a minimum of 45 min before bedtime, we have a charging station in our bedroom-that all electronic/phone devices goes to at night to prevent use. Also, know the laws and school policies-
some states don't allow drivers license if not attending school and some will get Juvenile involved- so check your state laws before he misses too many days. I know the county we live in here in GA only allows 5 unexcused absences before they can fine the parents. praying for you to have strength to face each day and wisdom to know if there is a reason behind this.....

There will be reasons. Is there another adult who he would talk to, not a parent maybe family friend he looks up too
