16 year old picks nose

My 16 year old is extremely messy, picks her nose and eats it when she thinks no one is watching. Have you heard of a sixteen year old girl doing this?

Thanks so much Julie! I was afraid something was wrong. I can't believe how messy she is...we recently had another attack of gnats in the house because of the food and dirty dishes in her room and this is why she (and not her sister) has to do the dishes every nite. With Julia there are so many "battles" that we are a bit overwhelmed. My other daughter is OCD so the mess is a problem. Lots of screaming. ha!

My son does that. He's 16. I ask if he does it at school. He says no. He does it at home unabashedly. I've given up on trying to make him stop. A "pick your battles" sort of thing. If I see him doing it I tell him to stop, but it seems to be a habit like nail biting & he's not even aware he's doing it.
