congrats on the new grand baby... I also have a teen parent in my home...my son is 16 and he and his 8 years old girlfriend just had a baby boy in October 2009...I have a 20 yr old son that also has 2 daughter, the oldest id 3 and only 10 months younger than my baby!!! So let me tell you there are gonna be people that will look down on you like you did something wrong as a parent to have let your child have a baby, but me and you both know thats not true! I love my children and want the best for them, and if they make mistakes we have to be there for them! I'm not call ing any of my or your grandchildren mistakes, every baby is a blessing, just sometimes an unplanned blessing! let you daughter know that your always there for her, and I'm sure you already know that if there is any other person that you can love as much as you do your own children, it the grandchildren! enjoy being a grand mother, it truly is amazing, and I never dreamed I'd say that at age 36, so know you knw that I also was a teen mom!

Congrats on your little blessing. Your life is not your own anymore hon. I was a teen mom myself. I had my first wonderful son (who is now 22)when I was 17. I have since had 4 more children. 2 sweet baby girls that are sleeping with the angels right now and I also have a 21 year old son and a 17 year old daughter. I pray to God that I have went over everything with her so she doen't make the same mistake at this point in her life that I did. yes,it wsa a mistake. I would never go back and change anything but it was a mistake hon. I was married for 13 years and 7 of them I spent being beat very badly. I finally got the strength to have him arrested in 1997 and I have proudly raised all 3 of them by myself completely since then. You can do this, you have to do this. The love of a mother can conquer all. God Bless you and your family. Peace. Best Wishes

Alex were you 18 when you had the baby? I was 19 when I had my oldest and would not change it for nothing. In fact having her changed me. She is 15 and I have a 9yr. DD too. My best friend had her only child when she was 16yr. I helped her, she had lots of support from her mom and sister too. Congrats no matter what your age is. I was just curious I read your profile. :) LOL You have lots of babysitters I see. good for you hehee

Take in all the advice you can get, they are not being mean, they are only trying to help you, to guide you in the right direction. Congratulations on your new baby. I hope you know how hard your life will be now that you have a child and are still a child yourself. The commitment and responsibilities required to raise a healthy, happy well adjusted child is not the easiest job in the world. Especially if you still want to go to school and make something of your life. I hope you have a good support system, if you do you're lucky so make use of it. Your baby is gorgeous BTW. God Bless
