Rent a cabbin at Koa and have 3 of her bestest friends come for the weekend just a small cabbin would do rent two movies from redbox and get some popcorn after the movie sit be the fire and have a glow stick party have the girls decorate the cabbin with X-mas lights but make sure the parents stay in a seperate tent or trailer or cabbin or else it would take the fun out of the whole thing because the kids would feel like they couldn't do anything with the parents there because the parents would make fun of them, imbarris them, or try and control what they were doing the whole time !!!!!! My daughter's 13th birthday is this Sunday and we are celebrating on Saturday the 11th and it's going to be a combined party with girls AND boys! She's having maybe 15-20 friends coming. We're going to start out in the back yard with a bonfire and they can play on our playground then when that's over they'll play night games such as Ghost in the Graveyard, Kick the Can, Fugitive, etc.. Fugitive needs someone who can drive and you pick a location and then have the kids run there and you follow them in the car and they hide in trees, bushes, etc and if you catch them they get in the car and if they make it to the location they win. After night games they'll go in our movie room and watch movies. We'll have cake and presents probably when they get back from night games and before the movie. Treats and drinks will be in the movie room too. Hope this helped!

My 13th Birthday is coming up on May 15th and I have NO idea what to do. My cousin, Ashely, suggested renting a hall and inviting my grade 7 class and maybe a few kids from the other grade 7 class as well. I personally wanted to do a moustache themed birthday/sleepover party where me and my closest friends would dress up in clothes that have the "moustache" theme on them and make little moustaches on a stick and then go out for dinner and have a sleepover.
There is a problem with both of these ideas though. For the hall, I have fallen in love with some cute girls ideas that me and my friends would LOVE and have so much fun with but if I would be inviting my class, I would have to find a boys and girls appropriate theme which I am having trouble finding. With the "moustache" themed party, I am just worried about how much everything will cost, even though I would love to do it.
Does anybody have any ideas for a boys and girls 13 year old party, how I could make the theme party work or any ideas in general?

i am having my 13th birthday on 8th of may i will be only having 4 people at my party we will be going out to eat at a resturant and playing picture hunt this is when u can take some close up photos of object inside house or in the garden and they have to find the place the photo was taken at each of these places will be a letter the first person to get all the letters and unscramble the word/sentence wins a small prize.

my teen shannon had a west end musical party she and 9 of her friends went to london to the les mis stage in london and met the cast and did some acting with them and then she went to the london dungeons and went to smith and western and then went to the theatre again to perform in an evening performance so i booked a room 4 me and a room 4 her and her friends and we stayed the night it was great fun but alot of dos £6420.00 but it was worth it

Make a scavenger hunt list. Have your daughter/son with friends split into teams. This activity can take place around the neighborhood or in the mall.
Ideas to put on the list-
MALL: - hug a cashier
- do the hokey pokey in the food court
- sing Christmas carols outside of a Christmas store
- smell every candle in the candle shop
etc.

NEIGHBORHOOD: - ding dong ditch someone
- ask for
* q-tips
* cans
* chalk
*etc
>>> with this, ask every house for something different.

After you have completed the activities, meet up in an hour. Then go out to dinner and maybe spend the night.

I did this for my own daughter and she had a blast. It was a great way to celebrate her 13th! Hope you enjoy this fun-filled event! Goodluck!

A killer game for tweens & young teens is "Musical Present". Get a moderately priced, nice "prize" that is a very small size (a beaded bracelet, perhaps) that you wrap in pretty paper (no bow/ribbon) put that in another box, wrap that and put it in yet another box.....until you have about 8 boxes. Decorate the final box with pretty ribbons/bows, etc. Have the girls sit in a circle on the floor. Have the birthday girl choose a song on CD....as you start the song the kids pass the gift from one to the next. Stop the song....whoever has the present starts to open it. Don't let them get too far...start the music. When the music starts the present starts being passed again. Its sort of like musical chairs with a present. Whoever gets the last little box unwrapped gets the prize. It bridges that gap between "little kid parties" and "big kid parties" and is a great slumber party game.

well my thirteenth birthday is in 7 days. My mom my sisters and brothers and like 5 to 7 of my friends are going lazer tagging. Its gonna be awesome. Then They are going to go to my house. If you really want your daughter to have a good birthday, DONT do makeovers or themes. Teenagers really don't like that. As much as you don't want to admit she's growing up she is. It is after all appropriate to invite boys or so and such but make sure you have the right amount of chaperoning. You don't need to be watching every second but at least keep an eye. No boys? A small sleepover can do. Go out to dinner, go shopping, etc. Themes are too young and girls have outgrown them.

My dauthter is also turning 13 this month and we decided on a rocker birthdsy party that is cheap and easy. I ordered invitations through vistaprint (got them at an awesome price), we are going to have music, dancing, and the decorations are tissue paper tied in the middle and fanned out on the ends and are hanging from the ceiling, we are making a snackdium for the food, and having a twilight movie marathon. Her friends are staying the night and in the morning I am making colorful waffles and hashbrowns before they go home. SImple and cheap and hoping they are going to have lots of fun.. Oh, and I used 3 different colors for the plates, napkins and cups and am going to alternate them.. (most of everything for the party was bought at the dollar tree down the road.. Hey why don’t you host a sleepover on makeover theme? Invite all the 6-7 girls and let them enjoy getting spa and beauty treatment. Arrange all the makeover supplies such as hair dryer, shampoo, makeup kits, pedicure and manicure supplies, etc. You can hire a professional or take your friends or family members’ help. A tattoo station will also be a great addition to your party. Since you will be providing so many services, you don’t need to spend anything on decoration. Simply balloons and streamers will work. Serve good food to them and let the girls enjoy these treatments for hours. After dinner, they can sit down for a couple of fun games or may be for a movie session, or a gossip session. Well I am so excited I found this site, all the ideas were very creative and I enjoyed reading them all, and I gathered various ideas to make my daughters 13th birthday a total success!!! WHEW!!!! You guys saved me alot of time and no stress... I will ever be grateful, I will be sure to post and tell you what I actually did and how things turned out. Her birthday is March 13th but giving it on the 16th... so until them MOMS have a blest time with your kids ..... they grow up so fast. :o)

Hey a Justin Bieber theme party would be a great option. If you have a small budget, skip the themed supplies and buy the purple colored ones such as purple tableware, balloons, etc. Bake a sheet cake at home and decorate it with purple frosting. You can also plan a sleepover on any of your child’s popular theme. Limit the decoration and spend money on food and favors. This way, you can plan a good party within your budget.

well one idea is have a a piant/water ballon fight my daughter did that and she said that it was amazing that she had the time of her life even though it was just with a few friends.

another idea is to have a sleepover with her friends and watch a scary movie because those are alwasy the best with your friends and if not watch a movie like pitch perfect or mean girls and have contest and games and smores and tell stories.

my last idea is to just have a few kids yes boys and girls and watch a movie, go in the pool have pizza.

so i am 12 getting ready 2 turn 13 so this is what i am gn 2 do we were gn 2 have a boy-girl party with as many people as i want. i am also gn 2 have a cheap band that will play our kind of music with cool party games. then when it struck 10;00 everybody would leave i would have 4 GIRLS of my choice, me, my mom, and my 21 year old sister would have a sleepover at my house.then at 12;00 the next morning we would rent a limo to take us to dinner and a movie then after that we would have it take us 2 a hotel. so that is my plan if you have any questions just ask!!!!

Hello my daughter is going to be 13 this year and she just wants to have a good fun gathering of 30 friends round at the house and we will have a big bouncy castle assault course in the garden and then they can all just be out my way outside!
its a great idea and cheap as well just buy a whole load of pizzas and chuck them in the oven for food. My 17 year old had it one time and they were all 14 so 13 year olds will love feeling young again!

1. No games! There is something to be said for simply having music (use their fave. Radio station) soooo much easier than manning the cd's! Have a few movies to watch and board games out IF they want to play. Make sure to pick up a few current magazines to look through. And a laptop if that is allowed for them to surf. Other than that Teens usually content to eat/talk/watch movies/laugh/hangout or "chill" & eat some more!

2. IF you do anything remotely "like" a game simply make it a door-prize. As in everyone pulls a number out of a jar and whomever has same number written on bottom of their plate wins a prize. Good prize might be a small cosmetic bag w/h a lipgloss/a polish & small scented lotion.

3. For any age teen I suggest a bonfire. If it rains make smores in the microwave.

4. For food. Set.up a taco bar. Or order in pizza.

5. Have a huge bowl of candy avail. Also, Teens love chocolate/candy/etc...

My Daughter is 17 this low key type of thing is so much better. Less pressure on you're Daughter to have a "fabulous party" & so, so MUCH less stressful for YOU!

I am doing a glow party. Bought a cheap Black light and the girls have the video Just Dance and r wearing white. Then decorateing cookies that my daughter and i baked and cut out with cookie cutters. purchased really cheap glow rings on line. Its on Amazon.com. Hope this helps :) Laura

Hi! This question is so perfect because I turned 13 yesterday and here is what we did!

First, we went to a movie alone at a nice mall with no creepers while my parents walked through the mall and bought stuff. We were alone at the movies but my parents were always there if we needed them.

Then, we went to dinner and has pizza.

Last, we came home and we all spent the night at my house. I had 4 girls come over, that was the limit. Don't take this idea from a mom, considering a real 13 year old would know what a teen wants to do on a birthday. Take it from me! :)

having a slumber spa party is a great 13th birthday idea. go to walmart to stock up on supplies by having a couple diffrent stations you don't have to buy too much of one thing foot soaks, face mask, nail painting, and makeovers can all be fun and you can do them inexpensively if you shop around.

well you could do something like go get mani/pedis for your daughters 13th birthday party....it might cost a lot but your daughter is doing something "different". I'm actually am turning 13 this year and i want it to be a boy/girl party. if it were a boy/girl party have a dance party or even have like a mini carnavil in the front of the house. For my daughter's 13th birthday party, I took my daughter and 10 friends to a go cart park. The girls had a blast and afterwards, we went to McDonald's to eat. Everyone thought my daughter had the coolest birthday and they also thought I was cool too!



Another one of my 13 year old birthday party ideas is to decorate the basement in an island theme and host a "Survivor Party", have the girls participate in team activities and make leis, grass skirts, sea shell necklaces,etc. and have a inside lula. Make hula girl invitations or lei invites. Cute, simple and fun.



Host an "American Idol Party". Use karoke style music and be the judge, while keeping an eye on the group. Award different prizes, so everyone will be a winner.

For my daughters 13th birthday party, we had a "Hollywood Awards" Party. Most items were bought from the dollar store. You need: a box of foil, silver, gold and black streamers, 2 red table cloths, gold paper stars, a couple of votive candles, and 2 flashlights. For the gilrs, a boa and plastic sunglasses, and maybe some mardi gras beads. You have everyone bring their "dress up clothes". Lay one red red carpet (table cloth) that leads to the front door. and write the name of each guest on a separate star. Tape the stars to the red carpet. Pick a stage area, preferably a door way, and hang LOTSA streamers, of all colors, in the doorway. Lay the other red carpet (red table cloth) leading away from the door way walking toward the crowd. Also have stars on this red carpet with their names. Use the votives to go down the sides of the red carpet. Have each girl "dress up" and decide which kind of award, they want to receive. Fix the flashlights so they stay on an cross in front of the doorway. Have each girl take a turn posing in the doorway accepting their award, and walk down the runway. The foil is to cover the tops of the counters to gove the illusion of grand luxury, and to cover a statue or toy that will be the award everyone will use. We borrowed a choc. fountain, and had lots of different foods for them to use in the fountain. We had a punch bowl, with plastic champagne glasses for drinks. Each girl brought a movie, and after the awwards were over they had a movie night with popcorn! It was a party she will never forget!

Sleepover's are great, because they can do makeovers, watch movies and eat snacks. Unless, of course she has already done this. Another 13 year old birthday party idea is to have a dance party, where they dress up, and dance. I remember when I was 13, we loved to do makeovers. My mom was a Mary Kay Sales person for a bit, so it was easy enough. But, you could go to CVS, and get some of the single packaged mud masks, and some funky nail polish and they have fairly cheap makeup aswell. Good luck!

depends if its a girl/boy party... some good 13 year old birthday party ideas are ; bowling, mini golf are all good but an all girl party the most inexpensive thing is a sleepover with a puzzle treasure hunt game i.e., group kids 1st having 1 team captain even, then give each a sheet of paper with a puzzle like suduko, a riddle, trivia and have the answers spell out the location of their next hint....leave as many hints as your imagination carries you and then the final hint will be to decipher one clue from each puzzle they solved to find the last location with the grand prize! It's quite fun and usually if the grand prize and all the mini games/activities leading up to it are age appropriate they'll be busy all night long!

I did a 3 hour scavenger hunt around our city for my daughter's 12th Birthday 2 years ago. She had 9 friends spend the night and we had 3 cars to drive the girls around town in. So there were 3 girls in each car(with an adult driver of course) with a digital camera and a list of 300 items that they needed to get throughout the city. Some where hard and a few were easy. At the end of the 3 hours everyone met up at the house. We all went through what we found. Let me tell you that was the most fun that they all have had and talked about that for weeks after. This is a very inexpensive idea and a lot of fun with teenagers. I still have the list on my computer if you would like me to email you for ideas. Good Luck finding 13 year old birthday party ideas. Have the kids over to make their own Pizzas and Sundaes, you can buy either pre-made pizza crusts or you can buy the dough in the grocery (usually in the refrigerated aisle). Set up stations with different toppings and let them get to it. Bake them while the kids play video games or old fashioned truth or dare. Shouldn't cost much. If you are having just girls I have a great 13 year old birthday party idea... When I was 13 I was obsessed with makeup, you can get together a bunch of makeup and hair accessories and products and let them have a makeover party, ask each guest to bring an article or 2 of clothing or accessory she doesn't wear anymore to swap with her girlfriends. You can have a runway show after wards and take pictures of the girls.

My daughter got a 13 year old birthday party idea from a a party she recently went to where she was told to wear clothes that could get dirty. They had an absolute blast playing crazy games. There was a silly string fight (they sometimes have cans at the dollar store) and made mashed potato sculptures. You can also get some really cheezy girt/prizes and do a yankee gift exchange for them.

For food, maybe make a pizza bar. Give each girl a small individual crust and have an array of toppings, then bake them up. Better yet, give them balls of dough and have them roll or toss them themselves! If they want, they can even turn theirs into calzones.

Take lots of digital pictures and while the girls are chilling out with cake, print up some good ones and give them out to the guests as they leave.

My son wanted his 13th birthday party to be a boy/girl party. I rented a nearby neighborhood activity center which had pool tables, ping-pong tables, shuffleboard, etc. We bought an inexpensive volleyball net and set it up outside. We made water balloons that they had to pass back and forth over the net using bed sheets. Everyone on each team held a part of the sheet, so they had to work together to catch the balloon without breaking it and pass it over again. OMG! That was the funnest game! We had cake and pizza, but hotdogs are really inexpensive, and you could make your own cupcakes. Instead of a goodie bag we bought big candy bars for them to take home. We didn't really use much in the way of decorations, and I used my son's MP3 player for "cool" background music.

Do you have a Wii? If so, you could hold your own bowling tournament with the girls...find some inexpensive prizes for each team...Losers/Winners..you could also have them make their own individual pizzas and for dessert, they can make their own sundaes. I always went with a theme party...and followed suit in everything from prizes to gift bags..I guess it depends on what your daughter and her friends are into that makes the planning easy for you...and trust that you can find a great 13 year old birthday party idea that costs little.

My daughter turns 13 in April and we are having the same dilema finding 13 year old birthday party ideas....I have decided, since she wants a boy/girl class party, to hang up a bunch of icicle lights outside, we have a huge yard, I also have a box of battery powered Chinese paper lanterns in various colors, set a couple of tables for chips/dip candy....grill hot dogs and burgers....and have cake and ice cream...and set up the stereo on the front porch and let them enjoy!!!
