My daughter wants to do 'something different' for her 13th birthday in March. Can't afford to spend a lot but any ideas would be welcome. She'd like to invite 6 or 7 guests but that depends on the cost. Anyone have any 13 year old party ideas?!?!

the best thing would be a sleep over but if you enjoy sports and your inviting boys why not do lazor tag or this fun tramoline place when everything is coverd with tramplieines but I forgot the place. and before u say any thing I am 13!

amusement park or water parks are great for spring or summer (depending on where you live.
-movies all night long
-"camping'' theme sleepover
-rent a water slide, snow cone, cotton candy, or popcorn machine
-shaving creme wars are always fun
-minute to win it party theme
-under the sea or pool party themes are always a lot of fun
-glow in the dark partys are the BEST but they do require a lot of effort and possibly $$
-spa theme
-roller skating
-lazer tag
_ I've always wanted to have a bouncy house that we'd rent, but wed watch a movie on a laptop, and just hang out out there, and then sleep out there under the stars with our sleeping bags, and just hang out, unfortunately, its to hot during my birthday so i never could :(

some party ideas,
- mall scavenger hunt
- scavenger hunt around your home, eg. you have to take a picture with the clue they give you and by the end of the party you all have to have taken photos with every single thing on the list
- disco eg, my friend just had a party were we just danced and played a few games and the theme was superhero
- sleepover
- paint fight eg. either get water balloons or ketchup bottles and put paint in them and throw or squirt each other with coloured paint, maybe at the end of a party. or you could do coloured chalk like the colour run
- photography shoot, eg. hire a professional photographer that could take photos of the girls (or boys) doing fun stuff together like the paint fight, that would be very photogenic
- also maybe a dance party but it could be really dark and you could splash glow in the dark paint everywhere on people and things it would be really fun
also here are some things preferably for boys
- go paint balling
- go watch a sport team play
- go to the movies
- have a dance party with a theme
- have a day just with your friends, go to the beach, go to the skate park, go buy something to eat, and you can just travel around places on your bikes and go back home at the end of the day
Hope that helped! im a girl so don't really know much about the boys parties. I hope u liked them!!

Hey, I'm turning 13 September 3rd... At first I came to this website for ideas, so I combined several creative ones for the perfect party. At first I thought of paintball or laser tag, but then I realized that it seemed boyish, and paintball hurts... people may not like it, so now I have decided that my friends will come over around 5. For dinner we will have pizza. Then we will take a vote on a movie we should watch. Once the movie is chosen we will watch it outside on a projector with popcorn and blankets there will also be cake and a small 'buffet' of candy. Later, we will pop balloons with slips of paper in them saying either red or blue, this will help choose teams. Bandanas will be given out to the teams. We will go over to the mall and have a scavenger hunt. 20-30 dollars will be given out to each team, (some things on the scavenger hunt list will cost money, while others will be something like a sample of perfume, or a picture of a sale that is 75% off.) the teams will have to be creative with some of the things on the list. The winning team will get a prize. After we will go home and play Just Dance or xbox in general, then everyone will go home. If You want to have a sleepover birthday party, but aren't sure try having just your best friends sleep over while the others go home. This way you are only having about 2-3 friends sleep over, while still having a big party.

My daughter is turning 13 Friday and is having an Un-Sleep Over Party. The girls will all come in their pajamas and bring a sleeping bag or blanket, watch movies, do nails, eat, play Dance Party and Karaoke from 4-9 and then they will go home - having the same sort of great fun as a sleepover, but without the sleep deprived attitudes the next day! For the invitations, I copied a sleeping bag and folded over the paper cutting along the edge where the pillow would be; that became the envelope. Then I printed the invitation information of a strip with a pillow icon on top, and tucked it into the sleeping bag. She and her friends love My Little Pony, and each has taken on the identity of a particular pony. Instead of party favors, I made each girl a tutu the color of their pony and sewed on a cutie mark I cut out of felt. I will post some pics on my blog after the party on Friday if pictures would help: bethanyswanson.wordpress.com.

Pick a couple of movies and set up a sheet outside! This worked wonderfully for my last birthday party. have them make their own popcorn mixes, and set up a candy buffet. Everyone loved it! People can sleep over if they want, or just leave after the movies. Start the first movie after dusk and when it ends, have a "intermission", then let them come back for the second movie. HAVE FUN!!!

Hey guys here are some good party ideas:

>You can do a non themed party, maybe go up to a local school, talk about the boys you like, latest movies etc. do whatever comes to mind!
>Have a disco party! one of my bffs did this a few moths ago and we all loved it!
>If you do have a disco party have a theme, every one has to wear yellow, blue etc.
>You could stay at home and bake, bikkies or cakes
>Only have a few bffs over and have a sleepover!
>Have a movie Marathon

You would want to play heaps of games, I'm having a party with 80 people for my 13th birthday party. Firstly you would want to play some games for example the...
M&m game
Ballon game
Donut game
DJ (not a game but a really fun thing to have a dj)
Orange game
As you can see there are some really fun and interesting games to play if you don't know how to play any of these games just type them up on the internet and I guareete you will have a purely fantastic understanding of these really fun games. I hope you guys enjoy and happy birthday to all the teens out there.

Freeze dancing is a great game for girls and boys this age. Choose some age appropriate music that the birthday girl loves. Get some glow in the dark sticks or necklaces. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000IZ9... Play the music and flash the overhead lights off and on... which creates a strobe effect kids love. Or get a real strobe light. Then every so often turn off the music and everyone has to freeze. Anyone who moves is sits out until next song. Last dancer standing wins.
Also, my teen son and his buddies love the Just Dance game http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D7UH... YOu could make teams randomly by pulling names out of a hat.
Minute to Win it is another game that works for 13 year olds. One game is to put an oreo on your forehead then try to get it into your mouth without using your hands. So funny, kids love it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0042ET...

Don't know if this will be helpful, as it involves having another parent (or 2) assist with driving - but my daughter wanted to go out for pizza for part of her birthday part sleepover. Our local Pizza Inn has a really good buffet, with dessert pizza, salad (inluding potato salad), as well as spaghetti, and 2 kinds of soups, plus various pizzas of course. The food was good, the girls loved eating out together, and the best part - it was only $4.99 for each girl- that included refillable drinks!! I would have spent more than that for a similar spread at home, plus it wouldn't have been nearly as relaxing for me. We were having them at our house for a sleepover, so we were providing breakfast the next morning and going out to dinner was enjoyed by all!

hi guys. im turning 13 this year. im a twin and this is what we decided to do. well, all of our friends love baking, so we are going to make our birthday cake. this is a great way to involve everyone so no one feels left out. also, if it is a larger group, seperate into teams and have everyone decorate either cupcakes or small cakes. i am from britain and moved to the states and one of my friends moved here from ireland, so what we are going to do is separate into pairs and do around the world in cucake form. each pair has a few different places. place ideas: america, canada, ireland, england/britain, australia, russia, etc. i have a few ideas for my cupcakes. we have lots of supplies too. so for russia i am gonna make colorful cylindars and add cute tops to those to look like the colorful castles they have. for ireland, i will make the flag with a shamrock coming out the top. australia i am going to use brushes and food die/paints to paint a kangaroo. these are just a few ideas. also, with twins you can get to medium cakes and separate into twin team 1 vs. twin team 2. a little bit of sibling rivalry. :) anyway, hope you loved my ideas. bye good luck my fellow friends

this might be typical but on my 13th birthday i invited a bunch of friends over and my friend planned a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood and then when we got home we hung out a little then we had dinner and after we went night swimming and roasted marshmallows and made cotton candy! Then me and my friend got dared to jump in the pool fully clothed and if we didn't my two guy friends were gonna push us in. better to go by choice, so we jumped. After we all got into comfortable pjs and watched movies and talked. It was the best day of my life and i want to do the exact same thing for my 14th birthday party. except maybe something fun during the day like air trampoline.

Well i am a person who likes to think outside the box so if u don't , don't read this. Ok one if your a tomboy and u like volleyball and mud u can do mud volleyball :). Ok 2 if u r still a tomboy u can do dirt bike riding and fore-weeler ridding too.

Ok now it's time for girly girls. Ok one you girls u can do blind fooled makeovers. Ok two a hunt in the mall, y'all parents can go into stores and find a couple things in some stores. Then u split in to groups of whatever and then give each group stores to go to that u made hints for. Then u give the cards of hints to the group u think they should go to. One person has to have a phone of camera with them to take a picture to make sure u really did find it. If u want a parent with each group u can do that to. Ok anyway u should give them at least 1 to 2 hours to find what the hints lead to. Once it's been 1 to 2 hours meet up somewhere in the mall. The group with the most things found gets a prize. PS. If the girls want to try on the clothes or whatever the hints lead to that would be fun I guess.

Thanks for reading , hope y'all like it. :)

I am looking for party ideas for a 13 yr old as well. In the past we have thrown some great ones that are still talked about. One year I went to Walmart the day before the party and wrote down exact brands and prices of food items such as frozen pizza, paper cups, plates, napkins, soda, and some additional items I needed for groceries. I split the items into two equal lists. We had the girls dress up in costumes and did a costume contest while waiting for everyone to arrive and gave a prize for the best costume. We split the girls into two groups and took them all to Walmart in their costumes. Each group got a list of about 7-10 items with exact brand and prices to find, and the Walmart scavenger hunt was on! There was one adult with each group (to pay, but not to help them find things) and the first group to find all items and get through the cash register was the winner. The winners got to pick out the movie at the redbox on the way out, while the losers had to stand and sing the Barney song to incoming and outgoing customers. (They were all still in costumes.) It was hilarious and the girls had a great time. When we got home, we cooked the pizzas, had cake and ice cream, and watched the movie.

I'm turning 13 this month and I'm inviting 9 people over (10 including me) so its an even number. They're all girls. I am asking my parents if they can give me a budget and I can decide what food, drinks, decor ect I buy. The activities I will be doing is mash potato sculptures, truth and dares and playing on the Wii. My amazing mum always makes my birthday cakes, this year I'm ether having a unicorn or a Black Veil Brides cake. For eating I would choose pizza or pasta. A theme would be a pjama or onesie or a YouTube/actor party as all my friends via one are YouTubers and the other one loves movies. After the main party my three best friends will stay for a sleepover and we would watch movies and snack on popcorn. Hope this helps xx

For teenage, you can throw a spa party wherein girls can pamper themselves and have a relaxed time. Create a spa like atmosphere, you can use solid color party supplies in ice cream colors like lavender, mint, vanilla, pale pink, soft yellow. Decorate home with beauty care items like plush pillows, nail paints, fancy mirrors, you can also add aromatic candles and fresh flowers to create a proper ambiance. You can keep different spa stations nails, foot soaks, make –up and hair do. And keep rotating girls from one to second station. Hand them a color coordinated bathrobe at arrival.

You can serve mock tails or coconut drink as a welcome drink for girls. You can delight lil girlies by serving them spa cupcakes with nail paint toppers or facial face toppers. Your teen will love this idea.

having a slumber spa party is a great 13th birthday idea. go to walmart to stock up on supplies by having a couple diffrent stations you don't have to buy too much of one thing foot soaks, face mask, nail painting, and makeovers can all be fun and you can do them inexpensively if you shop around.

well you could do something like go get mani/pedis for your daughters 13th birthday party....it might cost a lot but your daughter is doing something "different". I'm actually am turning 13 this year and i want it to be a boy/girl party. if it were a boy/girl party have a dance party or even have like a mini carnavil in the front of the house. They could play a bunch of games and win prizes! If it were me, i would have a lot of fun! i hope this helped and happy bday to your daughter!

For my daughter's 13th birthday party, I took my daughter and 10 friends to a go cart park. The girls had a blast and afterwards, we went to McDonald's to eat. Everyone thought my daughter had the coolest birthday and they also thought I was cool too!

Another one of my 13 year old birthday party ideas is to decorate the basement in an island theme and host a "Survivor Party", have the girls participate in team activities and make leis, grass skirts, sea shell necklaces, etc. and have a inside lula. Make hula girl invitations or lei invites. Cute, simple and fun.

Host an "American Idol Party". Use karoke style music and be the judge, while keeping an eye on the group. Award different prizes, so everyone will be a winner.

For my daughters 13th birthday party, we had a "Hollywood Awards" Party. Most items were bought from the dollar store. You need: a box of foil, silver, gold and black streamers, 2 red table cloths, gold paper stars, a couple of votive candles, and 2 flashlights. For the gilrs, a boa and plastic sunglasses, and maybe some mardi gras beads. You have everyone bring their "dress up clothes". Lay one red red carpet (table cloth) that leads to the front door. and write the name of each guest on a separate star. Tape the stars to the red carpet. Pick a stage area, preferably a door way, and hang LOTSA streamers, of all colors, in the doorway. Lay the other red carpet (red table cloth) leading away from the door way walking toward the crowd. Also have stars on this red carpet with their names. Use the votives to go down the sides of the red carpet. Have each girl "dress up" and decide which kind of award, they want to receive. Fix the flashlights so they stay on an cross in front of the doorway. Have each girl take a turn posing in the doorway accepting their award, and walk down the runway. The foil is to cover the tops of the counters to gove the illusion of grand luxury, and to cover a statue or toy that will be the award everyone will use. We borrowed a choc. fountain, and had lots of different foods for them to use in the fountain. We had a punch bowl, with plastic champagne glasses for drinks. Each girl brought a movie, and after the awwards were over they had a movie night with popcorn! It was a party she will never forget!

Sleepover's are great, because they can do makeovers, watch movies and eat snacks. Unless, of course she has already done this. Another 13 year old birthday party idea is to have a dance party, where they dress up, and dance. I remember when I was 13, we loved to do makeovers. My mom was a Mary Kay Sales person for a bit, so it was easy enough. But, you could go to CVS, and get some of the single packaged mud masks, and some funky nail polish and they have fairly cheap makeup aswell. Good luck!

depends if its a girl/boy party... some good 13 year old birthday party ideas are ; bowling, mini golf are all good but an all girl party the most inexpensive thing is a sleepover with a puzzle treasure hunt game i.e., group kids 1st having 1 team captain even, then give each a sheet of paper with a puzzle like suduko, a riddle, trivia and have the answers spell out the location of their next hint....leave as many hints as your imagination carries you and then the final hint will be to decipher one clue from each puzzle they solved to find the last location with the grand prize! It's quite fun and usually if the grand prize and all the mini games/activities leading up to it are age appropriate they'll be busy all night long!

I did a 3 hour scavenger hunt around our city for my daughter's 12th Birthday 2 years ago. She had 9 friends spend the night and we had 3 cars to drive the girls around town in. So there were 3 girls in each car(with an adult driver of course) with a digital camera and a list of 300 items that they needed to get throughout the city. Some where hard and a few were easy. At the end of the 3 hours everyone met up at the house. We all went through what we found. Let me tell you that was the most fun that they all have had and talked about that for weeks after. This is a very inexpensive idea and a lot of fun with teenagers. I still have the list on my computer if you would like me to email you for ideas. Good Luck finding 13 year old birthday party ideas. My daughter turns 14 on the 21st and she asked to do another scavenger hunt!!!

Have the kids over to make their own Pizzas and Sundaes, you can buy either pre-made pizza crusts or you can buy the dough in the grocery (usually in the refrigerated aisle). Set up stations with different toppings and let them get to it. Bake them while the kids play video games or old fashioned truth or dare. Shouldn't cost much. If you are having just girls I have a great 13 year old birthday party idea... When I was 13 I was obsessed with makeup, you can get together a bunch of makeup and hair accessories and products and let them have a makeover party, ask each guest to bring an article or 2 of clothing or accessory she doesn't wear anymore to swap with her girlfriends. You can have a runway show after wards and take pictures of the girls.

My daughter got a 13 year old birthday party idea from a a party she recently went to where she was told to wear clothes that could get dirty. They had an absolute blast playing crazy games. There was a silly string fight (they sometimes have cans at the dollar store) and made mashed potato sculptures. You can also get some really cheezy girt/prizes and do a yankee gift exchange for them.

For food, maybe make a pizza bar. Give each girl a small individual crust and have an array of toppings, then bake them up. Better yet, give them balls of dough and have them roll or toss them themselves! If they want, they can even turn theirs into calzones.

Take lots of digital pictures and while the girls are chilling out with cake, print up some good ones and give them out to the guests as they leave.

My son wanted his 13th birthday party to be a boy/girl party. I rented a nearby neighborhood activity center which had pool tables, ping-pong tables, shuffleboard, etc. We bought an inexpensive volleyball net and set it up outside. We made water balloons that they had to pass back and forth over the net using bed sheets. Everyone on each team held a part of the sheet, so they had to work together to catch the balloon without breaking it and pass it over again. OMG! That was the funnest game! We had cake and pizza, but hotdogs are really inexpensive, and you could make your own cupcakes. Instead of a goodie bag we bought big candy bars for them to take home. We didn't really use much in the way of decorations, and I used my son's MP3 player for "cool" background music.

Do you have a Wii? If so, you could hold your own bowling tournament with the girls...find some inexpensive prizes for each team...Losers/Winners..you could also have them make their own individual pizzas and for dessert, they can make their own sundaes. I always went with a theme party...and followed suit in everything from prizes to gift bags..I guess it depends on what your daughter and her friends are into that makes the planning easy for you...and trust that you can find a great 13 year old birthday party idea that costs little.

My daughter turns 13 in April and we are having the same dilema finding 13 year old birthday party ideas....I have decided, since she wants a boy/girl class party, to hang up a bunch of icicle lights outside, we have a huge yard, I also have a box of battery powered Chinese paper lanterns in various colors, set a couple of tables for chips/dip candy....grill hot dogs and burgers....and have cake and ice cream...and set up the stereo on the front porch and let them enjoy!!! I hope she will like it..
