cheerleading and coaching fees

my daughter cheers for her school and has since the 7th grade and now she is in the 10th. we don't have a paid coach. we have to pay for the coach . is this normal ?

I know a few schools around here that the girls all split the cost of professional coaches and choreographers to come in and teach them routines in addition to the ones the "free" head coach does.

My daughter cheered in high school and the coaches were actually teachers that coached as well. So no, I'd say this is not normal to have to pay for a coach as I have never heard of this. It is very typical for school coaches to be teachers...it is rare to have coaches that are nothing but that because typically schools can't afford that.
