So is anyone else going through all this college prep stuff? The scholarship paper work, financial aid stuff?
It seems like that is what I do half the time have you finished theis essay yet, have you done that yet. Shesh. Plus he has his senior project here they are really big, He is doing the history of tennis so most of it will be done in the spring so its gunna get busy when the snow melts.

If my kids want to go to college, that's great, but THEY are responsible for any and all paperwork and making sure it gets done. I am not following my senior around making sure he does this or that. I figure that I've showed him how to go through an application process, and he's quite proficient with the procedure. My parents never did any of my paperwork for me in this situation either.
I guess my view on it is this: If YOU want to go to college, and succeed in life, it is not up to ME to get you there. I will fill out any parent portion for the financial aid, but as far as "have you done this essay, or have you finished that application". Doesn't happen.
I did remind him that he needed to at least have his test scores submitted to the local college as well as the state community colleges, but that's only because I know it's a bitch to get scores re-sent after the fact.
