Hi everyone...

I am new at this and I have a 13 1/2 year old boy and a 12 year old boy. I have to say I love my boys, but I do miss the days when they were in pre-school.

I am also new at this, but wanted to say that I am glad to not be alone in the world of multiple children. I have 3 boys,14, 11, 10 and one girl, 7. I thought it was a good idea to have them close together. I did not realize I would be raising them as a single parent and just in time for the teen years. The oldest 2 get along better these days, but when they are all together nobody gets along. The 11 year old has hit the pre teen attitude and the 7 year old has her emotional breakdowns. What would life be without this rollercoaster?

I know what you mean, Kelly! I have 3 girls, 14, 12, and 5. When the older 2 go thru their "teenage" moments - attitude, sighs, eye-rolling - I sometimes wonder why they have to get older and want them to go back to 5yrs old, it seemed so much easier! That is, until the 5-yr old doesn't want to go to bed or cries because we are making her eat all of her dinner! I just have to remember that they each will go thru all the different stages and when they get on my nerves - I just remind myself to be thankful that they are healthy and good kids in the big picture!

Hi Lauri,

You are a busy Mom! Mine get along most of the time. They do better when it is just the 2 of them, but if one or both have a friend there is sometimes showing off. If there is just 1 neighbor kid over that is sometimes a bad mix. They have definatley gotten better as they have aged :)

Hi Lauri,

I agree. where does time go? It is fun to see how they are turning out. You do hope that you have done everyithing right and have inspired them in some way. How old are your kids?

Hi Kelly,

I miss the 8 - 10 stage, when they are just independent enough to explore the world and relate it back to you but not enough to worry you.
