I’m Barbi and I’ll be 40 in under a year. I married the man of my dreams in 2007 (who is 10 yrs younger than me) and we ended up being surprised by our honeymoon baby, Victoria, who was born in Jan 08, and is into baby modeling and getting into EVERYTHING! (This was easier when I was in my 20's!)

I also have a son, Shane who will be 18 and graduating this year and have run into many issues with him over the past 2 years. My daughter, Nicole will be 14, who is also into modeling and sports....and BOYS and clothes, and ATTITUDE! Is it just me, or are they like a light switch!?

We are still thinking trying one more time! I know....NUTS! :) I’m a SAHM for the first time in my life and I love every second of it! I LOVE to cook and bake, and you will always find my cookie jar filled with fresh, hot, homemade goodies! I am an Independent Pampered Chef Consultant which allows me to stay home with the kids (support my cooking addiction!) AND make ends meet! Please visit my website if you are interested in helping your budget during these tight times and I would love to show you how to make 3 tasty dishes in less than 30 min…and all for under $2 a serving!!!www.pamperedchef.biz/barbihorvath , I’d love to answer any questions!! I live in PA and LOVE to make friends....say hi anytime!!

I have a big spread too: 23, 17 then 4 and 9mons. Having a 16 yo and a 3 yo in the house at the same time made it really easy to see how similiar they are. I had my last one at 42 (and a half)... it was actually the easiest pregnancy and birth but it does push retirement out further and further. But I love them.

I haven't gotten the mistake comments - I'd probably punch someone in the mouth if they even suggested it (had enough of that crap being a teen Mom to DD).

I hate that "built in babysitter" comment !!! My DD never babysits !! She gives me the "loud sigh" when I ask her to watch DS for two mins while I run to the potty. She will watch him in those circumstances but she almost succeeds in making me feel guilty for even asking ! Luckily she's a real good kid so I don't have major sass mouth but I do get the loud sighs which are SO annoying ! I only feel guilty for about two seconds though and then I remember the Duggars and how much each of their kids take on and I no longer feel bad.

Oh wait...I love the look I get when they see my kids (my one will be 18!) and then me carrying the baby, and they whisper, like its a dirty word or something..."Oh, was she a mistake???" I say, "no, actually, Im that crazy that we planned it, and are thinking of planning another!"

Oh jump right in!!!! The more the merrier!! My eldest daughter went thru the "call me Nikki" phase....ummmm...sorry, dont think so. Then I got the wonderful eye roll and "whatever" and then texted away, Im sure telling one of her friends that Im lame and old. :( Does that bother u guys too?? The texting I think gets me more than anything! Its like they are making fun of u right to your face! Atleast when we were kids, we waited until we left the room! Betty, when was your son born??

Hi Betty! I love meeting people in the same boat with the age difference. I don't know about you, but the first thing most people say when they hear my kids' ages is, 'oh wow a built in babysitter' or 'you're so lucky to have all that help.' I'm always thinking 'hellooo people, have you every lived with a teenaged girl! Yes, she is a huge help and most days love her little bro and sis, but I would have to say this teen stage is by far the toughest we've gone through. And I never thought I'd see sibling rivalry with such a big gap, but my 3 yr son and 15 yr totally push each other's buttons. And the other day Samantha commented that her little sister gets so cranky when she doesn't get her way. Hmmmmm...sister like sister ;)

My teen is a girl! And I'm thinking you're right about the attitude. My baby girl is already Miss Feisty! By the way I love your oldest daughter's name ;)

Oh sweetie!! We are in the same boat!!! Ill move over and you can come sit by me! lol. As long as we laugh along the way...Ill take nuts any day of the week! Is your 15 yr old a boy or girl (not that it usually matters, but I feel you get way more attitude with a girl)? See...I thought I was adrift on this ocean alone.....Great to meet you!!! :)
