I have a similar problem with my son. He wants to spend hours each day playing computer games or visiting websites. His grades are suffering, but he claims that he does study hard and is doing the best he can. I don't know what to do. The harder I push him, the more miserable he is. Help!

First of all you are the parent, take away his electronics and video games and limit the time he is allowed with his girlfriend. I know you or son may not have a lot of the same intrest. You can rotate the activities you do one week do what he likes then the next what you like. Just you and him go to dinner or have a picnic somewhere special to him.
