Hi Tammy, I do not live anywhere near you, as I am in Orange NSW Australia..but I am always up for a chat and a laugh. I have two teenagers, a girl who is 17 and a boy who is 15. I also have a 10 year old girl, who is the stabiliser in the family. My oldest is doing the HSC this year, which is the final year of school, so a very stressful time for all, she also just got her license and is able to drive alone, which is stressful for me and her dad. I thought I knew it all being a mum, as I grew up with nine sisters (and one brother)....but each day is new!! My children each attend a different school, which can be complicated at times, since I also work. Going on here and facebook helps me find a release to my crazy days...

Well Tammy you came to right place that you looking for friendship & support here with Moms of Teenagers.

My name is Jeanne I have 3 children my older son Sylvain is 19 years old with Twins Matthieu (ADHD) & Natalie will turning 17 years old on the 3rd of March. I'm a single mom over 40 will be 45 this coming May. Yes it's tough but I wouldn't change it or change them for the world!

As for me with 3 teenagers............tuff...but I tell them I will not tolerate that kind of behavior or that is not acceptable in this house.........that's the main thing, because with teen years then want to be 20 years old and they know everything. Another trick I did last year I changed all my portable phones and know I 2 desktop phone.....with help I can keep track how long they're on the phone......(shhh I partially listen to there conversation this helps a little) I also have about 4 calendars in my house each with there name on it .........and I keep track of dates such a prepare for test, when project are due. I have a lot of little tricks up my sleeve...ect...lol

ive got one son whos 16 now.Dont worry,the backtalking does get less the older they get.at that age they think they know more than you do.my son would have argued that the sky was purple of i said it was blue lol.

Hi Tammy and Joanne. I`m a stay at home mom with two kids. My son is 14 and my daughter will be 9 in two months.Since my son turned 14 the backtalking has increased. Thank goodness my daughter is pretty mellow except for the occasional dramatics. You can add me if you like. I`m usually on facebook at least twice a day.

Hi Tanya,

I fight the back talking and chore battle too.  The one thing that has saved me is sending them too their room, especially the 15 yr old.  It sounds silly, but it works for them, like it does younger kids.  I had to learn to take a "zero tolerance" additude about it.. Again, mainly with the 15 yr old.  There is no tv or computer in here room, and I make her leave her phone on the table.  It has helped to keep small things from snowballing into major blow outs.  She is still sassy, but not nearly as much.  The chore battle feels like it's never ending...I can't let anything slide, or nothing gets done.  I have to stay on it everyday...it does get exhausting at times.

Hi Tammy,

I have a 14 year old son and sometimes it is very trying  i couldn't imagine having 3 teenagers to deal with however they do have some pretty amazing moments to. I would have to say though the only major problem so far is talking back(when hubby is away), and cleaning up after himself seems to be a huge chore.

I am also a SAHM.  It's a full time job keeping up with afterschool activities, and running the home.  My husband is gone for a week at a time, How is it for you when yours is gone for a month?  I know when my husband comes home, I'm definately ready for him to take the lead in the parenting department.  How old are your kids?  What part of Florida do you live?  My husband's company is in Jacksonville.

My 15 and 14 year olds are girls.  Parenting teen girls can be a challenge, don't you think?  It's taken a few years for us to really get along.  It's an on going  process.

Hi Tammy, I have 3 kids..... 2 teenagers and 1 pre teen. I live in florida and always love meeting other moms with teenagers. I am sure we could keep exchanging stories all the night through...lol They definately keep you on your toes. My husband works away from home for a month at a time so I am always up for a new friend to chat with. I am a SAHM but I am starting college early next month(doing it online). Thanks Polly!  It'll be nice to have someone to chat with.   I am finding that my biggest challenges with the kids are back talking, and always having to stay on them to do their chores. I am very lucky to have a wonderful hustband, and we do work well together, however, he is a truck driver and is gone during the week.  I look forward to chatting with you.
